This new Berkot's Market is located in one of those newish, old-style downtown looking brick strip malls that holds Charleston's (decent/restaurant), a beef place, and some other random strip mall-esque shops. I'm assuming there was a jeweler and at least one Chinese restaurant to round out the bunch but I don't remember.

The beer selection is off to the left as you enter the store with a row of cooler doors full of 6 packs, 12 packs, and cases. Mostly craft in the coolers but obviously your well known macros are available too. Opposite the coolers is a bank of shelves jam packed with a well thought out selection of craft beer. Pipeworks was stacked up like nowhere I've ever seen before, there was a nice showing of Three Floyds bombers, Founders, Greenbush, etc, etc. The list goes on. For as compact as the beer section is there are a lot of choices to make. All the bottles were clean and the shelving well kept and organized although I saw nobody running around that section.

I've heard random praise of different Berkot's locations over the last couple years but this place had a much better selection than I expected and you won't find cheaper prices anywhere else.

Stopped in here on a whim, since it was next to Charleston's. Really surprised by how good the selection was. Beer was past the registers and to the far left. Beer shelves were clean and well lit, with Ratebeer hang tags.

There were 10 Pipeworks beers here, Ballast Point Sculpin, Victory At Sea, Tongue Buckler, Sea Monster, and Dorado. Lots of current seasonals at rock bottom prices. Pipeworks was even on sale, $8 a bomber IIRC. Deschutes Class of '88, DFH Ta Henket, Lakefront 25th Ann. Imperial Stout, several Greenbush varieties, several FFF, Founders, GLBC, Gigantic, Boulevard Smokestack series, and more. Everything seemed to be relatively fresh, though the Rye of the Tiger was BBD: 7/5/13.

Service was limited to registers, though there seemed to be an army of staff members throughout the store, nearly outnumbered the shoppers here.

Overall a surprisingly good selection that rivals Mariano's and Whole Foods in the city.

This is a great grocery store for beer.

The beer is all the way at the front left corner of the store-- and they have shelves down one aisle as well as the coolers facing them stocked with beer.

This is far and away the best grocery store selection I've ever found-- Juliet, 2009 Sofie, and several other interesting gems still sit on shelves awaiting a beer geek to come clean em out. Virtually all the Midwest breweries are represented, as well as many breweries from the coasts that distribute -- like Firestone Walker, Port, Lost Abbey, Smuttynose, etc
The European imports are VERY limited-- think of the standard ones; Guinness, smithwicks, Stella, hoegaarden, etc.

If you're around New Lenox, you are probably best off heading to Orland Park Binnys or Kenwood in Homer Glen, but for a nice assortment of locals at great prices-- check out this Berkot's!

Nice-than-expected beer selection. Must of employed a beer geek as prices were cheaper and selection supersedes a majority of those big box grocery stores. Besides what you'll find in a chain grocery store, they had everything from 2 Brothers including their limited Hoodwink and wheatwine. The yearly line up of Great Lakes, including the seasonal Nosferatu and most of the Dogfish Head including some of their 750 ml offerings. Most likely won't find anything rare but rather above average for a supermarket.
