Style: American Double / Imperial IPA

Alcohol by volume (ABV): 7.80%

Availability: Rotating

Notes / Commercial Description:
077XX is our double IPA focused on harmonizing the extremes inherent in the nature of an American double IPA for long-term drinkability. 07750 is the Dubviant tuned up with an exclusive Nelson Sauvin third dry hop inspired by the places that get it in Monmouth Beach. Nelson gives 0’dub’s mix of dank resins and tropical fruits an elegant touch of cut grass and gooseberries. Drink 07750 and explore the vinous side of new world hops.

The beer comes in a medium gold color.

The aroma hits of gooseberry, white grape, straight up Nelson, fresh grass, a bit of vinous, white grapefruit, bready malt.

The flavor follows with dank resinous and pine throughout, a bit of tropical fruit, grapefruit, pineapple, touch of peach, fresh grass, onto a medium plus bitterness of earthy and pine.

Poured from 16 oz can dated 2/28/2017

A: Slightly hazy pale straw yellow with one finger white head that settles reasonably quickly to a thin ring. Moderate lacing.

S: Tropical fruits with pineapple and mango with more subtle notes of apple and grapes. Resinous hops with an herbal and earthy quality.

T: Pineapple, grapefruit, and passion fruit combined with tangerine and white grapes. Subtle spicy note that reads like black pepper.

M: Medium body with average carbonation. Finish is dry and crisp with some hop bitterness lingering.

O: Excellent DIPA. I need to find a way to grab some more Carton IPAs next time I am in NJ.

Can dated 8/1. Poured into Belgian ale glass.

L: 3F head with good retention, lacing, cap and ring, Beer is a nice semi-hazy amber.

S: Little bit of the normal dub citrus, but a lot more dank pineyness and some spice.

T: Mostly follows nose, quite piney, earthy, and dank. Peppery finish, not too bitter.

F: Light to medium body, light to medium carbonation, good drying

O: Not my favorite dubvariant, but a good one.

On tap at Cloverleaf Tavern. Excellent rendition of the style. The Nelson Sauvin hop varietal is really showcased in this pungent brew packed with dank, resinous pine flavor that would be a hop head's dream. Great stuff. Recommended.
