Style: American Double / Imperial IPA

Alcohol by volume (ABV): 7.80%

Availability: Rotating

Notes / Commercial Description:
077XX is our double IPA focused on harmonizing the extremes inherent in the nature of an American double IPA for long-term drinkability. 077-07871 is the Dubviant tuned up with an exclusive Mosaic third dry hop inspired by the places that get it in Sparta. Mosaic seduces 0’dub’s mix of dank resins and tropical fruits with its slutty mix of all the aromas attractive in new world hops. Drink 077-07871 and immerse in hedonism.

Not my favorite variant (That honor goes to the Nelson version of odubbs), but still incredibly good. Get it if you can - you won't regret it at all.

O'dubs always delivers and this single hop variant does not disappoint. A touch of malty sweetness with a nice soft finish.

Nonic pint from draft at a local place that rotates taps frequently.

This thing looks great, as the billowing head falls back to a nice, luxurious layer of off white foam resting atop this burnt orange, caramel coloured hazy beer.

Nose is vibrant with both floral and tropical notes. To define further (the tropical), we have mango and melon (let's say cantaloupe) as the signatures.

Taste immediately screams well balanced as all of this melon ball mango monster walks down the aisle with sweet, caramel malt. On exit, a hint of orange poles it's head in as a nondescript bitterness holds on to the tongue long after this medium bodied, almost creamy feeling beer has left.

Oh yes.

Can dated 5/12/16. Poured into Carton Dubviant glass.

L: 3F+ head with long retention, lots of lacing and a ring that lasts. Beer is a hazy pale copper.

S: Tropical fruit like mango and pineapple and banana. Berry. Some pine and general dankness. Light malt.

T: Generally follows nose. Lots of dankness and pine follow the initial fruit. Nothing gets out of hand, though, and the bitterness, dryness, and alcohol all work together.

F: Medium body, light to medium carbonation. Good balance and construction. Good bitter/dry finish that stays within bounds.

O: Very nice Carton Dubviant; certainly hoping to get to try them all as they come about. Certainly a bonus that I was able to get to this a week after canning.

On tap at Cloverleaf Tavern. I was once again impressed by this piney, citrus-laden offering from Carton. They don't put out bad beers. This IPA is no exception to that rule. Strong hints of lemon and grapefruit dominate the palate. Great stuff. Recommended.

This beer is one of my favorites that Carton puts out. I'm glad this one is made year round. You can definitely identify the Mosaic hops in the aroma as well as the taste. Super smooth and the right amount of bitterness. Cheers to Carton!

Bright golden color, slight haze. Lots of citrus zest, tropical fruit in the nose. Good malt backbone, some tropical fruit. This is a great O'dub variant. Highly recommended.

Was lucky enough to pick up a growler full from liquor factory in sparta nj. Wow, this is up there with world class dipas. Carton and normal 077xx are underrated, and to me this beer proves just that
