Notes / Commercial Description:
If ever there was a paradise on earth it must have been around the spice markets of the Fertile Crescent. Imagine if you will wandering balmy streets bathed in gold light while myriad pungent aromatics spin around you on warm breezes floating from groves of fruit and nut trees. Eden is a simple table friendly golden saison coaxed in the pepper heavy woody spice box direction of grains of paradise with heady wafts of jasmine lying atop. Drink Eden and cradle civilization.

32 oz growler into snifter. Hazy straw with small head, less carbonation than an ordinary saison. This is the ideal beer to sip on the back deck on a spring day. Very very drinkable, subtly hoppy, very well spiced with mild spices. Excellent saison.

There's a big dry bitter finish that reminds me of a fresh saison from Belgium, but the aroma is too spice-heavy. I'd like the hops and yeast to do more work on the flavor. The spices just land flat. Still, I'm nitpicking. This is a lovely beer to drink.

Growler from Joe’ Canal. Pours hazy golden with white, foamy head and lively carbonation. Aroma is of spices, funky yeast, pale malt and citrus fruit. Body is medium and crisp. Taste is similar to aroma. Finish is long and spicy. Outstanding brew.

A: Cloudy light gold. Snow white head. Head retention seemed o.k.

S: Bursts with fruity sweetness. White zinfandel with a spicy citrus footprint.

Soft and a bit chewy. Moderately dry finish.

Biscuit notes, even a bit doughy at times. Spice up front, peppery with some lingering ginger accents. Light florals and herbaceous, smooth white oak. Mildly bitter herbals on the back end. A saison that appeals to my palate. Respectful to the belgian qualities as well.

I had this on draught in a pub. It was served in a snifter. It poured a light, yellow-straw color with a thin, snow white head and minimal lacing. It smelled of yeast, citrus, and spice, although overall the smell was somewhat subdued, probably because of the temperature at which it was served. The tastes featured lemon, orange, coriander, jasmine, pepper, and some other Belgian spices. It is tangy with a nice, bitter, peppery finish. This Saison is light and crisp, rather lightly carbonated, and sessionable at 6.2% ABV. Overall, it is well-crafted and tasty; a good beer for drinking outside on a nice day, when you have time for more than one. It's not the best Saison I've had but it is very good and worth seeking out. I hope that Carton will can it.
