Had this bottle along with many others of its caliber for a small group tasting and it was definitely a solid IPA! 2 great breweries that are killing it!

Purchased on release day so it's as fresh as possible. Poured from 16 oz. can into Carton IPA glass. It pours a hazy, tangerine-orange color with a one-finger, milk-white head and lacing and lots of floaters in the glass. It smells of orange peel, tangerine, grapefruit, and floral hops. The first taste I experienced was the citrus: orange peel, tart grapefruit, and a hint of tangerine and tropical fruit on the tip of the tongue. That is followed by an explosion of dank hops, with a dry, bitter finish. There is a discernible alcohol burn. I don't think my taste buds do this one justice! This ale is medium in body, moderate in carbonation, and its 10.5% ABV packs a punch (you won't confuse it with Boat!). Overall, this is a superb Imperial IPA conceived by two of the finest craft brewers around. It's one of the best IPA's I've ever had. If it weren't so boozy, I could drink it all afternoon.

Great collaboration in this orange (alarming) period under the orange man in the white house.
A) At the brewer, on tap, pours a brilliant, mostly clear, pale orange body with a finger of white cap that lasts and laces.
S) Bursts: Grapefruit, tropical fruit, orange zest, mango and dank grassy hops.
T) Again big and bursty, jusicy: Orange zest, grapefruit, passionfruit with grassy, hempy and floral notes in the finale.
F) Light hearted and juicy, but sexy and well-bodied and dry on the tongue. Hides ABV well.
O) I want more time with this (last beer of the evening) But a "try 24" for sure.

Pours a great gold/Orange with a fluffy head. Smells of citrus, tropical fruit and earthy hints. Taste is pure citrus with some sweeter tropical fruits. Sweet fruits increase as the beer warms. There is a bit of an alcohol burn. Overall, simply fantastic.

12 ounce pour in some weird port-wine looking glass at Whole Food Columbus Circle. Part of a Carton tap takeover from the night before.

Clean-looking beer with nice transparency, carbonation and a light, foamy head.

Smell wasn't a donkey kick of any one thing but it hinted at orange, mango, floral bouquet and such.

Taste was where this was at. I kept getting a load of honeydew melon in my mouth. Like a burlier Yellow Rose. I love Yellow Rose and I liked this. Didn't matter I didn't hardly think orange at all. I just soaked in the alluring honeydew and accompanying sweet, vanilla-lathered notes from the malt. Very tasty.

And it drank excellently. Clean, moderately bitter, hardly hinting at booze. Oddly, I generally find Carton's aromatics shine while the flavor might only sparkle, but there was some sort of role reversal here and I think that's for the best.

On tap at Carton 5/28/17. YES.

L: Small head with little retention, only thin ring. Beer is a clear copper.

S: Lots of orange, grapefruit, and pineapple, very light cracker malts, and a nice earthy dankness.

T: Very closely follows nose. Starts off very slightly sweet and then goes neutral through remainder of palate. Finish nicely dank.

F: Medium bodied, medium carbonation. Excellent construction and balance.

O: Great great DIPA.
