A: opaque; deep reddish mahogany in color; 1 finger finely pored pale pink head that receded to a thin collar; no lacing;

S: cherry, port wine, and a hint of pineapple;

T: slightly hot alcohol first, then balanced between pineapple and cherry; finish is cherry; aftertaste is cherry cough syrup;

M: medium to full bodied; moderate carbonation; moderately dry finish; other than a moment in the taste, the alcohol is quite soft;

o: nice complexity of flavor;

Burnt orange color with minimal head. Sweet aroma; caramel & cherries. Sweet tasting with a hint of salty-bitter. I wasn't all that impressed with the flavor: caramel, cherries, melon, cough syrup with some earthiness. Thin to medium viscosity
& carbonation. I missed the pineapple.

Oh wow. This one is fairly incredible. It has a very unique color, a wonderful taste, and a beautiful aroma. It's heavenly. I want another one. Sooner, rather than later.

A very sweet, muddled tasting fruit bomb of a barleywine. This beer certainly fit the bill for the extreme beer fest but it was far from my favorite. Not bad, just not great.

DATE: January 28, 2021... OCCASION: the eve of my father's funeral, I share a few beers with Jerry, the brother who gifted me this box of awesomeness--the epitome of bittersweet... pours a smoldering red, opaque body... a cirrus cloud rings around the edge... wow--the upside down cake explodes with icing and sweet flour.... the barley malts anchor the beer so it doesn't fly away... a medicinal hint, but it doesn't preach... full-bodied, active, vibrant, demanding, and coating as it leaves--creamy on the tongue and warming throughout....buttery too--what an experience! vanilla cream, pineapple, cherries, boozy like sherry, fig, and peach--full-on flavor...funny and refreshing that Augie couldn't nail down the ABV! This is a worthwhile, special experience...

Amazing Barleywine. Malty sweetness leads the nose w/ hints of boozy cherry and pineapple. Smooth & solid body. Smoky caramelized pineapple starts off the palate, followed by cherry notes & deep, complex sugar profiles. Finish is boozy & sweet, w/ nice barrel character to round it all out.

Can from Half-time/BA for EBF 2021. Pours a beautiful clear reddish dark orange amber with a flash of off-white head, boozy lacing, smell is booze soaked dates, dried figs, raisin, hints of maraschino cherry, red tootsie roll pop, and burnt pineapple/pineapple creme, brûlée, taste follows the nose with big rich boozy dried fruit malts, raisin, dates, fig jam, soft toffee and caramel, overripe pinapple, yellow cake, and booze, nice undercurrent of sweet and sour cherry hard candy throughout and a nice lingering toasted sugar on the finish, feel is full bodied, soft carbonation, finishes dry. This one hits all the marks, pineapple, burnt sugar, cherry, booze. Adult cough syrup vibes. Yum!

A good beer for the Extreme Beer Fest! An odd and interesting beer.

Poured from a can into a tulip glass. Orangish/reddish brown color with with a pinkish beige head and good curtain lacing. Strong fruity boozy smell and taste. The high ABV is not subtle in this one! Pleasant sweetness and flavor from the pineapple and cherries. Enjoying it on the veranda on a coolish afternoon- perfect for the setting!
