pours a light hazy copper with a fluffy creamy head. nice light retention, some lacing.

slight floral hoppiness with a supporting bitter malt

a bit sweet up front with the bitterness kicking in right away and carrying throughout the finish. nice light sweet underlying flavors. slight floral and bitter hops. this is very much like a fresh english bitter.

nice moderate carbonation assists the flavors here. nice semi full body.

this is perfect for me, i love english bitters so to get this style fresh amazes me. i love this.

Poured from the tap an amber gold color with a rich off-white head.

Aroma of floral hops and English malts.

Like the aroma the hoppy floral notes come through along with a solid maltiness for god balance.

Medium bodied with a moderate carbonation.

A quality take on the English Bitter from Civil Life.

On tap at Sycamore in Columbia, MO.

A - Poured a hazy, golden yellow color with a small, khaki head of foam. Nice bubbly head that left some sudsy trails of lace.

S - It smelled spicy hops with some floral notes. Some sweet caramel notes, too.

T - It tasted of sweet caramel and toffee. Some biscuity flavors with a sharp bitter bite of grassy hops.

M - It was crisp and smooth. A light to medium bodied ale with a dry finish.

O - This is a very tasty English Bitter. Make a great easy drinking summer ale.

On-tap at the brewery.

A - Pours a mirky reddish color, cream-colored head, spotty lace.

S - Nice mix of hops, wheat, hay, and toasted malts. The hops aren't overpowering and work nicely with the malt bill.

T - More hop-forward then the nose suggests, toasted malts, some hay, and slight citrus in there as well. The finish is slightly bitter with some toasted malt notes.

M - Light body, good carbonation, clean finish.

O - A nice session beer, at 4.2%...very easy to enjoy and I can see this one being a hit during the hot summer months in StL.
