Stillwater collaboration sounds like one I'll try. Purchased a single can, glad I only got 1. Pours a pale yellow, smells like a solid lager, taste is average. Drinkable at only 4% but lacking some flavor to me.

16 ounce can - $4.49 at Hop City in Atlanta, Georgia.

Appearance: Pours a nearly clear, pale yellow body with an inch of white suds.

Smell: Thin hints of grain, lightly sweet-scented cereal, minute herb and some citrusy, lightly fruity touches of lemon and lime.

Taste: A light-handed touch of pale malts glazed with a cereal sweetness. Zesty citrus, a thin measure of dried, spicy-minded herb. Lightly bitter. Drying finish, fairly crisp, fairly clean. Scant, fleeting grassiness lingering in the aftertaste.

Mouthfeel: Light-bodied. Medium carbonation.

Overall: Wickedly overpriced, though a nice lager.

Pours an effervescent straw color with 3 fingers of pearl white head. Good lacing & head retention

S: Grassy, grainy, pear notes

T: Light graininess, breadyness, white grapes, grassiness up front. Slight lime notes, grassiness, plus white grapes & a little apple skin as this warms. Finishes a little grassy & fruity with just a touch of citrus

MF: Medium body, light carbonation, pretty good balance

Pretty good for the style, but over-priced like all of the stuff I've tried from them, drinks easy enough

16oz can. Poured a clear, golden amber color with a large, fluffy white head of foam. It smelled floral with caramel and toffee. Sweet toasted caramel flavor with a slight citrusy hop bite.

A: Pours a relatively clear straw yellow in color with moderate amounts of active visible carbonation and faint lemon yellow highlights. The beer has a finger tall dense foamy bright white head that slowly reduces to a mottled thin film covering the entire surface of the beer and a thin ring at the edges of the glass. Moderate amounts of lacing are observed.

S: Light to moderate aromas of grainy malts, hints of lemon citrus, and just a touch of floral hops.

T: Upfront there are moderate flavors of grainy malts with just a hint of corn adjuncts and minimal amounts of sweetness. That is followed by light notes of lemon citrus and a light flavor of floral hops which imparts a light amount of bitterness to the finish which does not linger for long.

M: Light bodied with slightly heavier than moderate amounts of carbonation. Hints of dryness in the finish.

O: Easy to drink and enjoyable, would be great on a hot summer afternoon. As someone that enjoys a nice lager, it's good to see more craft breweries producing them.

Clear pale yellow with plenty of suds-- yes, I did accidentally pour it into a fancy chalice. Surprising malty taste. Hint of lemon. Smooth and totally drinkable with just a hint of bitterness. This is the sort of beer that the industrial brewers could be making if the creative beer trend keeps eating away at them.

For me, four percent is the benchmark for lower alcohol brews. It's the Utah limit for draft beer and supermarket sales, so there is a lot to taste and most of it not very inspiring. So this stuff makes a big impression for being so tasty and drinkable. From the 16 oz can purchased at Elizabeth Station in Bellingham, Wash.

16 ounce can into lager glass; no can dating, but is a recent release. Pours slightly hazy golden straw color with a 1 finger dense white head with good retention, that reduces to a small cap that lingers. Light spotty soapy lacing clings down the glass, with a good amount of streaming carbonation retaining the cap. Aromas of lemon zest, lime, orange peel, light apple, cracker, bread, herbal, light pepper, and floral/grassy earthiness. Nice and pleasant aromas with good balance of citrus/fruity/earthy hops and light-moderate pale malt notes; with solid strength. Taste of lemon zest, lime, orange peel, light apple, cracker, bread, herbal, light pepper, and floral/grassy earthiness. Light-moderate herbal/spicy bitterness on the finish; with lingering notes of lemon/orange zest, lime, cracker, bread, light pepper, and herbal/floral/grassy earthiness on the finish for a good bit. Very nice robustness and balance of citrus/fruity/earthy hops and light-moderate pale malt flavors; with a great malt/bitterness balance and zero cloying flavors after the finish. Good amount of dryness from bitterness as well. Very clean on lager flavors with minimal yeast notes present. Medium carbonation and light-medium bodied; with a very smooth, crisp, and fairly sticky mouthfeel that is nice. Alcohol is very well hidden with zero warming present after the finish as expected of 4%. Overall this is a very good hoppy pale lager style. All around good robustness and balance of citrus/fruity/earthy hops and light-moderate pale malt flavors; and very smooth and crisp to drink. A very enjoyable offering.

L: It pours clear straw producing a 1” white foam cap that rapidly disappears. Not much lace. S: Light grains with some light corn, light floral, slight green apple. Malt medium light to light, hops medium light to medium, fermentation flavors medium light. T: Starts lightly sweet, light grain, light corn, crisp, with a drying finish. Malt medium light, hops medium, bitterness medium. F: Light body with medium high to high carbonation bordering on fizzy. O: What is there is done well but what is there is not much. Very light.

this is an awesome little lager, collaboration with stillwater, who is releasing beers about as prolifically as anyone right now, fast and furious. its a hoppy lager, and everyone we shared this with really dug it. nice floral and citrus hop notes to it, light and crushable in feel, dry and well carbonated, with a very simple but fresh and flavorful grain base and an appreciably low alcohol content that lends itself to warm weather pounding. not every beer has to be a challenge or a pioneering effort, and both breweries involved in this one know a thing or two about pushing the envelope. its nice to see a rather basic beer from them, and its even nicer to see it so well executed. crisp and clean, but bitter and juicy too. it has just a prickly of tartness to it as well, not usually found in the style, and maybe a product of hops here rather than wild yeast, but it flatters the beer i think. i love that its in a pint can, 12 ounces of this wouldnt last very long at all. i wish i loaded up on this for the weekend, its the perfect beer for the first warm days of spring. weird can, yummy lager.

A - Suggested to drink from the can so I did. Looked great from the can.
S - Typical clean grain, cereal, and biscuit.
T - Fresh. Fresh grain and some lite bitterness but no real hop flavor. A clean tasting lager.
M - Light body high carb.
O - An interesting craft take on a lager. A nice change of pace. Give it a go.
