Unknown vintage; drank 1/9/17 @ the Yarchives.
Cloudy orange/red appearance.
A rough pour yielded a big, noisy white head; a thick curtain of tree-rung lace.
Caramel, cane sugar & grapefruit notes in the nose.
Medium thick mouthfeel.
Caramel, cane sugar & fruit punch flavors up front; dry grass & grapefruit notes on the finish.
A sweet, dry American barleywine to this palate; just OK.

Can. From Miguel. In Teku glass. Easy to drink (even with 8% ABV) and pretty balanced and smooth for the style, with a non-agressive orange/grapefruit bitterness. Avg 4.
Bottle. From Miguel. In Teku glass. Playing Rituals. I found it with an original profile, more dry than in the canned version but also very good. Improves the more you drink of it

Copper in color with a light haziness. There's a frothy and fairly dense two inch tan head resting on top. Moderate lacing. The aroma is of citrus fruit, perhaps tangerine and also light malt. The taste is sharply bitter tangerine and grapefruit. There's light malt in the back of the palate. The mouth is dry, somewhat chalky, and sticky.

16 oz. can
Pours foggy hazy amber orange with a creamy frothy white foam head. Smells like nutty malt, tangerine, grapefruit, apricot, pineapple, with spicy floral resinous leafy earthy herbal grassy pine. Tastes like sweet nutty malts, tangerine, grapefruit, apricot, pineapple, with bitter spicy floral resinous leafy earthy herbal grassy pine. Feels medium bodied, creamy and slick with moderate low carbonation. Overall a nice DIPA.

Tasted in a Spiegelau IPA glass from a 1 pt can on December 30, 2016. This collaboration with Amager Bryghus is a bit disappointing. It's not bad, but it's nothing special either. I suppose it's worth a try, but I won't back for seconds.

Poured into a Seattle Beer Week pint glass. Pours a slightly hazy medium coppery amber with a half finger off-white head with great retention and lacing. Aroma of caramel malt, citrus and lightly dank hops, grapefruit and orange citrus, overripe tropical fruit, a hint of light melon. Flavor is mildly sweet caramel malt, citrus and lightly piney and grassy hops with a bit of dankness, grapefruit and orange citrus, light tropical fruit; finishes with resinous citrus hops, grapefruit and lemon rind, a bit astringent. Medium to full bodied with good creaminess. A very citrus forward imperial IPA, with some quite realistic orange family citrus and grapefruit flavors. The body and malt support the rather robust hopping. The finish is a little bit rough, but the bright orange flavors really redeem this one. Interesting and worth a try.
