Appearance: Clean amber, with a big off-white head and spots of lace.

Aroma: Beautiful citrus. Really really good.

Taste: Nice amount of fruits and citrus here, with a light body and a semi-bitter finish. Wonderful “adjunct” lager here, with a stunning blood orange sensibility. Could drink these all day.

Pours an effervescent gold with 2 fingers of cream colored head. Average lacing & head retention

S: Oranges, not much else

T: Orange peel & much light juice notes & fainter grainy/grassy notes up front. More orange peel bitter-sweetness, a little drnyess. Finishes with considerable juicyness & dryness

MF: Medium body, semi-firm carbonation, decent balance

Drinks easy enough, but like moist ATG products over-priced. Glad I only bought a single

Somewhat non-descript in taste it's a struggle to find more than a tad of bitterness. Get some hops and some malt but it seems absent of oranges. There is the always present smokiness of an Against the Grain beer. It's not bad but it's not much.

A thanks to the champion of the canquest, woodychandler, for this beer. Poured from a 16 oz. can. Has a dark golden color with a 1/2 inch head. Smell is strong of oranges, some malts are present. Taste is oranges, malts, light bitterness, dry at the finish. Feels medium bodied in the mouth and overall is a smooth beer that I could easily crush several of.

This is a Mikkeller/Against the Grain collaboration, brewed especially for Valentine's Day. The appearance is clear and rich with a deep golden-orange honey colored body and a frothy white head that left sheets of lacing.

The smell was citrus and gentle graininess. Blood oranges. Clean.

The taste was spicy hops - Saaz perhaps? Very light sweet oranges. Hints of coffee and maybe even walnuts? The blood oranges are more noticeable in the aroma than in the flavor which leaves a nice clean, crisp lager taste.

With only 17.3 IBUs it is very drinkable but very flavorful too. I'm glad to find this is a very solid pilsner right here in Louisville.

Hazy copper color with a lasting white head. Lots of orange scent and some toasted malts. Definitely a hoppy lager, has orange citrus taste and a good malt backbone. Medium light body with a medium carbonation. I really enjoy the beer!

A: Pours a clear medium golden yellow in color with moderate amounts of active visible carbonation rising quickly from the bottom of the glass and moderate honey colored highlights. The beer has a three finger tall sudsy foamy white head that reduces to a large patch of mottled very thin film covering the entire surface of the beer and a thin ring at the edges of the glass. Light to moderate amounts of lacing are observed.

S: Just shy of moderate aromas of blood orange citrus with lighter aromas of blood orange zest, bready malts, and citrus/grapefruit pith + floral hops.

T: Upfront there are light to moderate flavors of bready malts with a light hint of caramel sweetness. That is followed by slightly stronger than moderate flavors of blood orange and blood orange zest. Finally there are just shy of moderate flavors of citrus/grapefruit pith + floral hops which impart a moderate amount of bitterness which does not linger for long.

M: Just shy of medium bodied with moderate amounts of carbonation. Crisp and smooth with a clean finish.

O: Interesting and enjoyable - not sure this is a combonation I would have considered but it works, though it is more reminiscent of a pale ale than a Czech Pilsner to me. Easy to drink.
