This beer is not candy or mother’s milk. It is not brewed by gypsies or aliens, nor does it contain any zombie dirt. This is a double IPA brewed with Citra Hops. It’s sticky, hoppy and delicious. Simply drink it and enjoy it. Don’t hoard this beer, Citra Ass Down and drink it now.

22 oz bottle was poured into a snifter.

Appearance: A one finger head was poured that reduced to a thin layer. It is a slightly hazy yellow orange color with good clarity and vision of bubbles coming up through the glass. Frothy lacing down the glass as the beer was drank.

Smell: Tropical, lemony, citrus, herbal hops followed by toasted, biscuity, pale, and chewy malts.

Taste: Lemony, grapefruit, tangerine, orange peel, tropical, and herbal hops with biscuiity, toasted, bready, chewy, and pale malts in the rear. Some chewiness, mild tingly bitterness. and light alcohol notes too.

Mouthfeel: Smooth, medium to full bodied, slight alcohol, some chewiness, light tingly bitterness, and medium carbonation.

Overall: The first brew I've had from these guys. Will look for more of their stuff in the near future.

We’re at a crossroads. A crossroads of some juice beer and…maybe a west coast? Ok… no. Only crossroads. This is straight up weird ass funk. Like, the dude wanted to meet the devil so he could play, but the devil didn’t show up - so now he only plays with himself.

Wow. I’m out.

Poured from a 16 ounce can into a Shaker pint glass, "best by" date "04/12/24".

APPEARANCE: pours a cloudy, hazy, dark gold color with one-finger off-white head that quickly dissipated until a thin, broken layer of small bubbles remained, there is heavy lacing on the glass, lighter carbonation.

SMELL: bread and pineapple citrus, not complex but pleasant to the nose.

TASTE: the taste follows the nose, initially sweet pineapple citrus and bread then pine resin and it really lingers in a good way, the 8.2% alcohol is imperceptible.

PALATE: full body with lighter carbonation and somewhat creamy.

OVERALL: this is a decent DIPA, I enjoyed it and would recommend to anyone who enjoys the style.

Pours a gold color with a minimal white head that lasts quite a while. No discernable aroma. Taste is sweet and tangy with only a slight hoppy bitterness at the end.

Look - deep gold, bubbly white head
Smell - citrusy, malty, pine resin, dank
Taste - citrusy, piney resin, honey sweetness
Feel - medium body, moderate carbonation, pine resinous finish
Overall - Don't let Citra in the name fool ya. Although there's an initial citrusy element, this brew leans toward the hoppy, piney resin and dank side that lingers quite nicely. Beautiful dank smell. Has a west coast feel with a solid malt backbone. Very tasty. This is a Badass brew so I paired her up with Balls to the Wall by Accept. You should too. And like it says on the can, Citra Ass Down and drink it now. Enjoy!

Pint can, fridge cold, poured into a can glass. Super fresh! Canned 1/3/23. Rich frothy head rises atop a golden orange brew, traces of which follow all the way through the drink.
Aroma is distinctly Citra hops with a sweetness surrounding it.
Taste follows - I love a single hop unhazy DIPA, Citra being my fave. No disappointments here. Straight up Hop Juice, balanced with a nice malty sweetness. No alcohol bite. Finishes pleasant, with a pronounced lingering chewiness.
Feel is medium carbonation with a slightly oily remnant on the palate.
Overall, a most excellent single hop double IPA worth having another of. And another.

C: Amber to dark golden. Thin band of head less than half a finger. slight haze but transparent

S: Huge citrus notes with hops

T: citrus upfront followed by hoppy pine

F: light wet typical IPA.

Overall: poured at 42.2ºF, 16fl. oz can, canned on 01/03/2023, 8.2%ABV, $4.25 per can. Good beer tastes great drinkable with a nice ABV punch, but not boozy at all. Really great beer would recommend surprised it is not rated higher on BA.

1,000th beer rated on BA. Enjoying down in Louisville, KY, home town of Against the Grain.

Pours a deep, golden color. Light skim of a head.

An earthy, grassy, hoppy aroma.

A delicous DIPA. Rather bitter but nicely balanced against a background of sweet malts. The ABV is well disguised.

Heavier consistency, medium carbonation.

Thanks to my brother who lives in "the Ville", I was able to get this brew and enjoy it for the first time. A definite top notch IPA. Cheers!

This is easy for me to find in central KY in 4-pack pint cans, and when I occasionally pick it up, I'm always surprised that it's better than I remembered. Love the cheeky name and the bizarre graphics on the can. I'm a DIPA fan in general, and this one is right up my alley, strong but smooth with a nice creamy malty finish, very tasty with just the right touch of mild bitterness. The hops seem very well balanced to me, better than many other IPAs I've tried that emphasize the Citra. I don't really drink much anymore, since I'm now an old man whose GERD gets triggered by alcohol, so I have to make them count when I do indulge. This one counts. Cheers!
