On tap at the brewpub, served in a short tumbler style glass.

Deep brown/black in colour, with a short brown head leaving behind a film of retention and spotty lace. Nose of sweet chocolate, light roast, with some fruitier dark malt character and even a hint of marshmallow perhaps. More chocolate in terms of flavour, light roastiness and some dark fruits as well. Slightly drying, but sweet finish with a good bit of roast. Medium heavy feel, but alcohol wasn't evident. Quite nice and I feel this beer lends itself to being modified for some one-offs... (aging with vanilla beans or chili peppers etc.)
