Poured into a snifter.
3.5 A: Black color. Two fingers of foamy light brown head. Retention is about average and a finger of irregular lacing is left.
3.5 S: Dry roastiness is abundant. Toasty malts, caramel, and hints of coffee. Fine for the style, but not that inspired.
3.25 T: Tastes much like the nose. Plenty dry with a roasty backbone. Coffee, char, and a light caramel to round it out. Subtle resiny hoppiness.
3.0 M: Light to lighter medium body. A bit overcarbonated, which blows up in the mouth. Okay, but nothing more than mediocre.
3.25 D: I know I'm being a little hard on this due to the style, but it's still nothing more than just fine.

Head, Authentic, Drinkable, Amazing
Most certainly has the visuals of the mass appeal Irish Stout with its stunning head and ruby highlights within the dark brown hues. Mild roasted flavor, hint of caramel and just enough hop character thrown at the palate. Seriously, this brew is very quaffable, not just because the brewer was going for the Irish Style Stout ... more because of the brewer knowing their shit when it comes to such a delicate style. A smidge bigger of a beer for the style but damn, this beer goes down easy.
STYLE: Dry Irish Stout | ABV: 5.1% | AVAILABILITY: Year-round
