I tried this on draft at the Lab Gastropub. I don't believe they intended this beer to taste like this, either they need to clean the lines, get a new keg, or something. Golden Road needs to get this fixed.

12 ounce can poured into a can-shaped glass.

Nice golden body with spritzy carbonation. A bit of haziness though. Foamy head a finger and a half thick and pale white in color. 4.25

Smells like absolutely nothing. No malt aroma and no hop presence. 1

A bit skunky and a bit of sweet, bready maltiness. More filling than an adjunct lager and a bit more flavor, but pretty tame overall. Plenty of non-craft drinkers would get down with this. 3

Not quite as light as I'd expect for a 4.something percenter. Medium-bodied and sweet maltiness up front and then a light bitter finish. Very unoffensive. With more lightness I'd like this better. 2.75

Decent brew. Unremarkable.

Looks mouthwatering on this very hot day. Spectacular white head with good lacing and a pale yellow body.

Faint grain, grass, and sweetness.

Sweet, grassy and peppery hops, a little grain.

Typical lager fizziness. Very refreshing.

This is a good substitute for PBR or your other macro beer that you drink when it's sweltering outside and you just cut the grass. The can is convenient and who doesn't like a tall boy?

I have no idea where I got this can of beer....but anyhow....it poured a hazy yellow with white head that is not leaving any lace. The scent had hints of lemon loaf. The taste was nicely balanced and easy to drink. The mouthfeel is lighter in body with good carbonation with fizzy head. Overall it's ok.

Pours a finger and half of head on a clear light straw body.
The aroma is mild grains and a little lemon.
The taste mild balance of bitter and malty sweet.
The texture is crisp and fizzy.
It's an average light(er) lager.

Sampled out of a can provided by the nice bartender at Beachwood in Seal Beach, CA.

Ay mami! No mas! This literally is Budweiser. Budweiser in a hipster can.

Smells like the Inland Empire and tastes like a skunk that got ran over on the 91.

This thang is just rank. It is rank on all levels.

Tastes like bread and malt with a very slight bitterness. It's not really too attractive and the mouthfeel is nothing special. Overall its a good lager, much better than an adjunct lager, as well as refreshing. Probably wouldn't get again but it's not bad.

A really solid, borderline excellent APL. Honestly, I'm not sure what more you would want out of a beer in this style bracket without busting firmly outside it. It's well balanced, with nice malt and biscuit flavors, with a clean, bitter finish. No off flavors, not thin and flabby. This is better than a lot of other craft "pilsners" that bring more character but fail to deliver a drinkable beer. Good stuff.
