Hoppy and refreshing, Wolf Pup is our riff on a Session IPA. Highly drinkable with a wildly aromatic tropical and citrus character, it’s the perfect companion to keep on sippin’ for those long, sunny days.

It poured a cloudy yellow ( almost an apricot color) with a foamy white head that leaves a good lacing to the glass. The smell is very citrus, grapefruit with maybe a hint of mango. The taste is citrus with some sweetness to it. The mouthful is light, smooth and very enjoyable. Overall I was very pleased.

My local Hyvee had this on sale for $4.99 so I had to get a six pack. I really couldn't ask for more for from a session IPA. Pours a nice cloudy yellow with a moderate head that quickly dissipates to some beautiful lacing. Delicious citrus flavor with a nice hoppy finish. Sparkling mouth feel with a nice clean finish. I am going back to pick up a case if they still have any. I would recommend it at twice the price that I paid.

Golden hued with a quarter inch of eggshell on top. Moderate lacing. The aroma is of citrus with a hint of pine and light crackery malt. I'm tasting citrus fruit, a touch of piney hops, and light malt. Lots of flavor for a session IPA. The mouth is lightly resinous and sticky.

I'm not really a lover of all things citrus, but this is surprisingly enjoyable. The citrus flavor was pretty obvious from the nose. Not too acidic despite the citrus. Specifically, it tastes more like grapefruit than generic citrus. Not especially hoppy, but plenty to enjoy. When I poured from the can, the head was nice and pleasant -- dissipated moderately, but I'm not the best at pouring anyway. Mouthfeel is crisp and refreshing. In fact, the whole experience is both crisp and refreshing. The color certainly reminds me of grapefruit, which would usually steer me away. But I'm actually really enjoying it about 3/4 done with the glass.

Pours a very light and slightly hazy pale straw yellow with a snow white head that lacks retention but does leave decent lace.
Aroma: Sharp, pungent, peppery hops, citrus.
Taste: Get some breads, tart, citrus hops. Malts surprisingly noticeable in the mouth feel. Decent hop malt balance.
Drying at the finish.

A: Yellow and hazy with a white head.

S: Tropical fruit, with peaches, pineapple, apricot and mango.

T: Light and hoppy with an abundance of fruit, but not a lot of backbone. Tropical fruit, and citrus peel, but very little malt, and a touch watery in the finish.

M: Light and crisp with a somewhat dry finish.

O: Super drinkable, and refreshing, but a wish it had a touch more substance.
