On tap at Pizza Port Carlsbad

A: Pours a thinnish looking deep brown color with a rich and creamy khaki head. Good retention.

S: Nice vanilla, oak and bourbon notes with some toasted malt and brown sugar. Smells pretty nice.

T: Not quite as much going on as I was expecting, but a nice, simple brown with just a hint of bourbon. Toasted malt, a slight nuttiness and just a hint of sweetness with some dryness on the finish with just a touch of bourbon.

Pours a rather light brown color with minimal foam. A little bit of oak aroma, some toasted malt, and a light toffee and bread sweetness. A touch watery and bland. The flavor is also a little watery, but has a hint of fruit to go along with the toasted malt and toffee. Not really much of the wood carries over the the palate.
