L - pitch dark, virtually no head
S - confusing mix between malt and hop
T- surprisingly smooth mix of hoppiness and porter characters. A bit of a lingering bitter hoppy IPA aftertaste, but not bad at all. If you don't understand what a black IPA is, this will explain it.
M- Guinness like consistency, smooth but heavy
O- good stuff, a good example of a solid black IPA.

On tap at Golden Road Brewing in Los Angeles, CA.

Pours a murky dark brown with a foamy khaki head that settles to a film on top of the beer. Thin rings of lace line the glass on the drink down. Smell is of dark roasted malt, pine, and herbal hops. Taste is much the same with citrus and pine flavors on the finish. There is a mild amount of hop bitterness on the palate with each sip. This beer has a lower level of carbonation with a slightly crisp mouthfeel. Overall, this is a pretty good beer but I think it smells better than it tastes.
