On tap at Golden Road Brewing in Los Angeles, CA.

Billed as a vegan friendly "milk" stout brewed with almond milk instead of lactose sugar.

Pours an opaque super dark brown with a foamy dark khaki head that settles to a partial film on top of the beer. Foamy patches of lace form around the glass on the drink down. Smell is of dark roasted malt, cocoa, vanilla, and slight nutty aromas. Taste is much the same with cocoa and subdued nutty flavors on the finish. There is a mild amount of roasty bitterness on the palate with each sip. This beer has a good level of carbonation with a crisp mouthfeel. Overall, this is a pretty good beer that uses the almond milk well to produce a tasty, fairly similar alternative of the style for vegans.
