I enjoy this, it's light and moderately crisp, but be aware that it doesn't really conform to style guidelines. The can description as an American Pale Lager suggests they fiddled with an APA recipe and threw lager yeast at it. The result is brighter up front, with "aggressively hopped" Citra flavors and only a modest suggestion of lager character arising on the midpalate. Not as highly carbonated or effervescent as expected from a traditional lager, either.

16 ounce can from Tavour. Medium golden pour, clear, small tight foamy head. Aroma and test taste reflect the maltygrain bill of the beer, bitter bite from the Hops coming in at the tail end. Crisp and clean. Lingering bitterness.

I purchased a can from my local liquor store in late June 2019. The beer did not produce much head, but it had a tasty lemon hop. I'm not a fan of lagers, but sometimes purchase IPLs -- basically, hybrids of IPA and lager. This is listed as APL, presumably an hybrid of APA and lager. It packed plenty of flavor for 5.4%, but that's because it seemed more like a pale ale than a lager.

Pours a bright effervescent gold with 3 fingers of whippy ivory colored head. Very good lacing & head retention

16oz can stamped BEST BY 11/10/19 poured into a becher glass at fridge temp 5.4% ABV 35 IBU 3.5 SRM. The beer pours barely hazy orange amber in color with off white head. The head recedes to a thin cap and leaves a little lacing. The aroma is Citra forward with tangerine, orange and a hint of pine. The taste is mildly to moderately bitter and hop forward with orange rind and grapefruit jumping out before easing away to reveal a pleasant pils body underneath. The mouthfeel is medium bodied, adequately carbonated and mostly dry in the finish. No off flavors or flaws. There is a bit of stickiness from the hops, but it all comes together nicely. Overall, very good. If you're traveling through central Indiana and find this one fresh & cold, pick it up.

Bright gold with visible carb trails, thin layer of foam and broken skim.
Aroma is fruity with tropical hints, Citra comes through.
Fruity with a bit of apple and mango, mild bitterness that lingers.
Not much of a malt presence as the hops dominate somewhat.
Light bodied and drinkable, unobtrusive carbonation.
Overall this was pretty good, thanks to Chris for this one!

Thought I was buying an IPA, surprise was on me. Not a bad beer despite not being an ipa. Really clear golden color. Lots of carbonation. Head quickly dissipated.
Good to above average beer.

Totally off style. Over hopped, no other flavor. It is a thin bodied IPA wannabe, not an American Lager.

Fine amber color; aggressive rise of carbonation; relatively thin yet fluffy and sticky white head. A fine powdery, floral hop aroma. Mildly juicy flavor; intense hop bitterness riding over a light malt base. Medium-heavy body; crisp and sharp on the pallet; mostly dry finish.
The taste makes this pale lager -- deceptively light and pleasingly satisfying with a mild malt base initially providing the entryway and then the hop bitterness smacks you between the eyes. The mouthfeel is glassy smooth and gently shifts to a mild dryness. Very good overall...
