Had on draft at the brewery.

Pours deep copper with a small off-white head leaving decent retention and chunks of lacing down the glass.

Aroma features caramel malt with a little earthy bitterness. Spicy rye whiskey is present, but solidly in the background.

Floored by how flavorful this is. You can taste a lot of the base beer, but the rye whiskey is integrated very well. Strong malty caramel is balanced out at the end of the palate with a little spicy booze kick. Rye lingers on the tongue as this one goes down. Incredibly flavorful.

Smooth creamy mouthfeel. Good levels of carbonation slightly on the low side to enhance mouthfeel.

One of the better beers I've had from a local brewery and makes me very happy to try anything else in the future Black Acre may have laying around in barrels.
