Blatant IPA is reminiscent of those hoppy beers brewed by our West Coast friends, but represents the enormous pride we have in our East Coast roots. Full of hops and a subtle cereal grain backbone, this definitively BLATANT brew will demand the attention of the senses: the aroma, the flavor, the finish. Don’t look any further, this is the IPA you’re looking for.

Better than I remember when it was bomber only. Now that it's available in RI I will make it a regular. Now if only it were in cans....

Just tried the first can of a six pack. At first, I thought it had gone bad, it was so not to my liking. I'll reserve judgement until I've tried another can. But it's not one I'd buy again.

Is it a great IPA? No. Would I turn it down? No. It's fine. It's light bodied, not super hoppy, and it's got a kind a peppery kick to it. I got a twelver of it for relatively cheap at Total Wine, but would not make that kind of investment again.

From the can into a pint glass at Bukowski's Tavern in Boston.

Pours a murky yellow, with quite a bit of foam.

The smell is very floral, with a bit of pineaple, and a rubbery hint.

The raw hop rubberyness is a bit too strong in the flavor. Still good, I drank the whole thing, but it disturbs the balance quite a bit.

The liquid starts of a bit harsch, but mellows a bit as it warns a little.

Overall, a decent IPA, but the rubber flavor kinda irks me.

Not a terribly exciting IPA. Pours a pale, hazy gold color with a fluffy head. Aroma is grapefruit and the taste pretty much follows suit. Not much of a malt backbone to balance things out. Mouthfeel is a bit thin for an unfiltered beer. It's not a terrible beer but there's many better IPA's to be had. Oddly enough, there's no mention of this beer on their website at all. I probably wouldn't buy this again.

Perhaps I got a dud can? No head. Almost flat. Flavor fine but 'thin'. Not in same league as Ballast Point Sculpin or Firestone Union Jack IPA. At least it's cheap for a craft beer.

Clearly something wrong with the first can. Others were fine. Small head and normal carbonation. Still think it a bit 'light'. But taste is overall very nice.

This is one confused IPA. I'm catching a light Pilsner like malt with some floral and earthy hops. The strangest part is the yeast that has a slight Belgian spice to it. Mouthfeel is somewhat light and crisp. It is actually very drinkable but feels mislabeled as an IPA. Hoppy pils or Belgian pale seems more appropriate.

Total Drain Pour !

Some haze from a fresh can. No appreciable nose and a flat bitterness with no malt backbone or any redeeming features.

Could not finish. One of the worst New England IPAs I have tasted.

This is one hazy-ass beer. They said unfiltered and they mean it. Nice one finger head and a fair amount of lacing at the start.

Aroma is all grapefruit hops, with a hint at yeast thrown in. Can't get any malts out of it.

Taste starts out with a big bitter hit, then a wash of pine flavors and a long bitter finish. Strangely it isn't harsh. It's kind of nice, actually. No yeast in the taste though.

Mouthfeel is smooth and really creamy. Goes down nice and easy.

Overall a good solid IPA and one worth trying.

Poured from a can, it was cloudy and deeply yellow colored. The taste was bitter and did not linger. It wasn't bad, but I wouldn't order it again.
