A glowing hazy orange body, topped by three fingers of bone china white colored rocky foam. Good drippy lace.

Big fresh inviting orange aroma.

Sweet beginning, doesn't lay a strong foundation. Citrus middle, fleeting. Strong bitter bite at the swallow. Nicely aggressive.

Solid with a bit of prickly mouthfeel.

Good but not great, not a super hero.

Just try it. New England thinks they have the IPA game on lockdown, they don't.

From BeerAdvocate Magazine #86 (Mar 2014):

Grapefruit, Bitter, Catty, Grassy

A bit of an onslaught of hops in this can. Flavorful mix of old-school hops, like Nugget and Centennial, and the more current or trendy high-alpha-acid varieties Citra and Bravo all make for a beautiful mashup of hop complexities. Sure to please the hopheads.

Nice! Citrusy aroma that doesn't overwhelm, and a similar taste. Juicy and refreshing. A touch of pine - just enough so that you don't seem to be sucking on a pine cone. The brewery is new to me, and I would definitely try other offerings of theirs based on the quality of this one.

This was poured into a nonic pint glass. The appearance was a hazy burnt orange to amber color with a one finger white foamy head that dissipated leaving speckled sticky foamy lacing around the glass. The smell had a huge fresh citrus sweet hoppiness running over some light freshly cut grass and a light underneath of sweet to semi-bitter pine. The taste had a full bittersweet citrus to light underneath of sweet caramel malts. A semi-lingering bittersweet citrus/caramel aftertaste leads to a semi-dry bittersweet finish. On the palate, this one sat about a light to medium on the body with a nice sessionability about it. Carbonated nicely as an AIPA, still a nice bittersweet harshness hits my tongue nicely. Overall, I say this was a wonderful AIPA that I would love to have again.
