In the 16.9 oz bottle, Portland, ME. One of their first batches ever (debuted several days ago on the Maine beer market). Bull Jagger is a brand new brewery in Portland an will be making lagers only, following the German Purity Law (using only Yeast, Hops, Malt, Water).

Appearance: Slightly cloudy dark yellow with an appropriate 2 finger head, nice level of carbonation. Darker than I expected but nice looking.

Aroma: Sweet, yeasty, and ever so slightly bitter. I can smell some of the hops in the nose, though they’re subtle, but I like that they’re subtle. Ever so slightly fruity, too.

Taste: Smooth, smooth smooth. Fruity, malt-forward and nicely balanced, with a noticeably hoppy finish that's a positive thing. Flavor and mouthfeel lingers for a long time. The carbonation is slightly on the low side so this drinks very quickly. It has a sharpness that keeps it interesting and a smoothness that keeps it almost forgettably good – the kind that makes you really want to have another.

Brand new brew from a local Portland brewery started by some friends of a friend.

Pours a foggy golden brown with not head to speak of. Nice yeasty smell in the nose, not overpowering but with distinct hints of bitterness. Very smooth on the palate, light but with pronounced malt flavors, perhaps a bit of orange peel? This is a nice medium bodied brew that is quite crisp with some solid bitterness on the back-end. A nice lager.
