Pale gold cloudy beer that smells like flowers and pine. The taste is lightly sweet and bitter. It has a bit of fruitiness. The bitterness is aggressive and lingers. Feels like it slightly to bitter to be balanced.

It's back! Canned 6/27/17. 16 oz can enjoyed in a Duvel glass.

Hazy golden orange, no particulates. One finger of head, quickly subsiding to an incomplete ring, surface blanket, sheet lacing.
Strong tropical aroma, pineapple, mango, tangerine.
Up front grapefruit peel, then the tropical notes. Light pine, pepper on the back end.
Smooth, strong carbonation, no alcohol burn.
Enjoyed this both on tap at the brewery and from the can at home. The can trumpets this as a NEIPA. Not sure how to judge that classification, considering the healthy bitterness of this beer, which I regard as a feature. Hope this will be part of their standard lineup, or at least a repeating seasonal.

A: Pours a very hazy pale golden in color with moderate amounts of active visible carbonation rising along the edges of the glass and faint amounts of straw yellow colored highlights. The beer has a two finger tall dense foamy bright white head that reduces to a large patch of mottled thin film covering the entire surface of the beer and a medium thick ring at the edges of the glass. Moderate amounts of lacing are observed.

S: Moderate to strong aromas of juicy citrus/grapefruit, tropical/mango, herbal, and dank resinous hops over the top of light to moderate aromas of biscuit malts with a hint of grainy sweetness.

T: Upfront there are moderate flavors of biscuit malts with a light amount of grainy sweetness. That is followed by moderate to strong flavors of juicy citrus/grapefruit, tropical/mango, herbal, and dank resinous hops which impart a light amount of bitterness which fades away pretty quickly leaving a light lingering herbal + dank resinous hops flavor.

M: Just shy of medium bodied with moderate amounts of carbonation. Smooth with a light amount of dryness in the finish.

O: Enjoyable and easy to drink with well hidden alcohol. A little more bitterness than I expect for a NE style IPA but a very good beer and one that I would gladly get again.

Had this on tap. Poured a bright gold with small head and little retention. Aroma was light and pleasant with notes of citrus, and taste was similar although I picked up some earth/pine as well. Not the best from NoDa but a pretty solid IPA.

Time to un-retire, this beer is alive and kicking in 16 oz cans in 2017. This particular variety was dated 06/27/17 and poured into an IPA glass. A cloudy, hazy yellow orange, with a two finger head that dissipates at a moderate pace. A lot of soapy retention on the sides of the glass. Aroma is straight, heavy pine and grapefruit, and some sea salt/dank character. The taste is right in line. Anytime you see the Conan yeast strain is involved, you know you are in a for a treat. The mouthfeel is unique. as it is both sharp and soft, which must be from the sheer number of bittering hops and the oats and wheat mashing. Overall, a tasty IPA worth giving a go, especially while it is still floating around fresh.

16 oz can. Pours light golden orange, slight haze, finger white head lasts, spotty lace. Tropical aroma with herbal notes. Dank weedy earthy flavors, white pepper finish. Thin to medium slick feel. Overall good earthy IPA, full of spicy hops.
