I don't regard B/A scores as absolute truth, but when I see a new beer that I want to try and 500 people have rated it in the high 70s to low 80s, it factors into my decision. That being said, I feel that the current score of 85 for this beer is a little misleading. Don't mistake this beer for just a decent pale ale. I think time will prove this beer is worthy of a 90-92 rating.

Appearance--The darker hue to this pale ale increases its crowd pleasing ability. It's not just for hop seakers.

Smell--positives here, but not the gusto behind this beer. You get an expected balance of hops with some true to appearance malt.

Taste--The taste is everything you hope the name suggests. Sure, if you want to be blown away by hops, the "Hop, Drop 'n Roll" is there waiting for you. Sessionability is the name of the game here. You get enough hops, then the relief of a full flavored and well rounded beer.

Mouthfeel--Sessionability here as well, but not overly thin.

Overall--I could try to describe exactly what hops and malt tastes like, but in all honesty, you need not tax yourself with the chore of decoding nuance in this brew. It is the sum of all its parts that entices subsequent sips. The roundedness of this beer makes the second one just as tasty as the first.

Poured from a 16oz can into an imperial pint glass a clear deep golden with a full one finger white head atop that lasted for the duration.Aromas of Amarillo hops abound, leafy, with some sweet onion and aspirin, wich I tend to like, caramel malts show thru more as I drink more.Hops dominate the palate up front with leafy and grassy notes dominating, the aspirin notes also come into play,a biscuity maltiness holds true to the finish but the hops are the show.I really like this pale, the hop profile is fantastic and the alcohol is low so I can drink the four pack without a problem.Solid.

Another good offering from Noda. This is definitely a sessionable beer (great for a hot summer day) but only if you like hops and a fruity floral taste. Smell and taste of citrus is strong throughout. The malt only slightly offsets the hops and brings sweetness with it, but the hops is never too strong anyway. Very easy drinking, settles nicely on in the mouth.

Amber gold, crispy clear color with a nice lacy white head. Aroma is bright, fruity, and happy. Cereal grains, citrus, tropical, grassy hop. Taste is refreshing and pleasantly hoppy. This is a very easy to enjoy beer. Flavors are flowery peach, apricot, apple, pine cones, grapefruit zest, all mixed really well together. Finishes with brisk carbonation and tingly hop dryness.

16oz can

Quite dark for a "session pale" - very bready with notes of spiced dough and rye. Rather dull hop profile and lacking characteristics I would like to see in a 'session'. One of these was enough - not a beer to revisit in the future.
