On Tap at The Reagle Beagle
APPEARANCE:
Clear orange amber color with moderate lacing.
AROMA:
Moderate aroma of pine and orange zest and sugar cookie.
TASTE:
Pine and grapefruit bitterness is more pronounced in the taste but there is enough malt to make it drinkable. Unfortunately I am also picking up a hint of soap.
MOUTHFEEL:
Medium body, finishes a bit crisp. Well carbonated.
DRINKABILITY:
A decent IPA but not much complexity.

On tap at TAPS Fish House & Brewery in Corona, CA.
Pours a hazy gold with a foamy white head that settles to wisps of film on top of the beer. Foamy swaths of lace form around the glass on the drink down. Smell is of malt, citrus fruit, and citrus zest aromas. Taste is much the same with a citrus zest flavor on the finish. There is a medium amount of hop bitterness on the palate with each sip. This beer has a good level of carbonation with a crisp mouthfeel. Overall, this is a good beer that is tasty and easy to drink.

On tap at Neighborhood San Diego. 16oz glass.
A- Hazy amber color, with two fingers of white foam. Great lacing.
S- Citrus hops, pale malt and a bit of pine.
T- Starts out with big citrus notes. Orange and bitter grapefruit predominate. Malt tries to enter mid palate but the hops beat it into submission pretty quickly. Pine enters in a big way at the finish and there is a lingering hoppy bitterness in the aftertaste.
M- the beer is medium bodied with a nicely medium level of carbonation.
O- This offering from Taps is a very nice example of a west coast IPA. Some might call it a bit one dimensional due to it's emphasis on the hops, but I like it. It's hoppy, it's bitter, and it's pretty darned good.
