Pint cunsumed on-tap at Twelve String Brewing's tasting room for $4. Served in a nonic pint glass. According to the description at the brewery, this is brewed entirely with Simcoe hops and tops out at 51IBUs.

Slightly dark amber color, with a half-finger's worth of white foam. A surprising amount of lace left on the glass.

Hop forward in the nose, but not massively so. This is meant to be a very drinkable, warm weather pale ale, and it smells exactly like that.

Tasty without being big. Sure, there's hop flavor, but it's restrained enough that it's nowhere near a palate wrecker. You could drink this with your dinner and get enough flavor while not having to brush your teeth to enable you to taste your food. The malts are perfectly balanced so as to do their job without sticking out. Nice, modest dryness at the swallow.

Fairly light in the body, but not so much as there's a lack of substance. Fairly clean-finishing mouthfeel.

A tasty session beer. Is it a flavor bomb? No. It is, however, something I wouldn't mind having more than one pint of at my local, something that would accompany a meal without overpowering it with a resiny hop or sweet malt blast.
