A refreshingly tart and crisp hefeweizen brewed with local MA wildflower honey, orange peel and coriander, and fermented with the juice from over 1,000 blood oranges. It’s a cloudy, yet effervescent beer, with lingering banana and citrus notes balanced against a healthy wheat backbone and hoppy finish from Mt. Hood and Crystal hops.

On tap at Conley's, Clayton got one too. Murky, orangey. Solid hefe but not amazing head - probably on the bar.

Looks: Medium golden amber color with a nice haze going on.
Smell: Light on the nose. Citrus, banana and yeast.
Taste: Very well rounded hefe with a slight sour on the aftertaste. Banana and citrus on the main body. A bit of funk going on.
Feel: Great feel. Satisfying but not overwhelming by any means.
Overall: A great Hefe. Would recommend.

The appearance is a hazy golden orange body with a one finger white foamy head that quickly dies. Carbonation is still seen rising. The smell has the esters/"banana" yeastiness up front, light coriander all balanced pretty well, light citrus as it continues to warm. The taste is sweet yet light spiciness through all previously mentioned flavors. Light wheat bite at the end leading into the aftertaste, dry finish. The palate is light, sessionable, and has a moderate carbonation seems to be right now for the style. Overall, it maintains some of the qualities of a hefeweizen but seems like they're not presenting enough strength for the style such as a Weihenstephaner.

Favorite beer from Slumbrew! Very flavorful fruit beer and an amazing dark orange with a malty mix to it. Tart to the finish with a nice sour finish to combat the sweet orange.

I tried this after a long day of tasting at other breweries in and around Boston, so my rating might not be entirely accurate.

Beer poured from a can into a goblet. It's murky amber with a hint of orange. Nice thin ivory head. Nose is estery with perhaps a bit of crackery malt. Taste is tart and estery---a bit more sour than I was anticipating. Perhaps this is from the blood orange. There's a bit of a coriander kick in the finish, which seems a bit off to me. Mouthfeel is ok; it's well carbonated, but a bit heavy. Overall, I'm not in love with this beer. This might be because I'm not a huge fan of wits, and I also don't like beers with too much coriander. I was hoping for something more citrusey and less tart/coriander-ey. But maybe I went into this with unrealistic expectations.

I've certainly sampled many Slumbrew beers and haven't found one that I dislike yet, but Happy Sol continues to be my all-time favorite! It's a great refreshing taste with the blood orange and is perfect for spring and summer although I pick it up all year round.
