Rich black porter with a unique blend of chocolate, coffee, roasted and nutty flavors. Brewed with cocoa powder and conditioned with cacao nibs from Taza Chocolate. Bold flavors from the cacao nibs and black malts are balanced with a special blend of pale malts, oats and wheat to produce a lush and lingering mouthfeel.

A- Poured into a chalice from the 12oz bottle with a black body. Doesn't appear as thick as big stouts but black with a light tan head. The cap rises and falls fairly quickly after reaching about a finger tall. Frothy ring leaves spotty lace at the top and some big rings and pillows down toward the bottom.
S- Malt heavy with a good dose of chocolate malts, cocoa powder and toasted nutty grains up front. Slight caramel, coffee, dark spiced raisins and some bready yeast character.
T- Opens up with bitter dark cocoa powder from the chocolate added and roasted malts followed by a nice toasted nutty grain note and is generally malty overall. Spiced raisins and yeast bread come to mind from the yeast. Malt flavors seem to oscillate between toast and roast adding a nice dynamic. Slight bit of citrus and earthy hops open up with some time.
MF- Moderately thick body with a medium-high carbonation. Somewhat oily on the palate with a silkiness throughout. Finishes with a bitter cocoa powder feel.
Cocoa is the prevailing flavor here but this has a well-rounded malt profile that I enjoy in certain Porters. I would certainly buy this one again. The chocolate just seems to build with each sip and gets better and better.

Poured from a can dated 11/19/18.
Plenty of chocolate and dark brown roasted malts, bittersweet cocoa and earthy hops.
Normal carbonation and medium body, slightly slick lingering feel.
Overall a solid, tasty porter.

L - Deep brown pour with a thick, 2-finger tan head. Good retention and lacing.
S - Pretty distinct chocolate smell.
T - Mild coffee/roast. Mild for a porter.
F - Full mouthfeel. Smooth.
O - Different from other porters I've had but nice, nonetheless. I liked the chocolate hints. A good beer.

From 16oz can, extreme inappropriate carbonation ruined all 4 beers in the 4pk, must be bad batch? - regardless of glassware or pour technique there was 1/4 glass of beer 3/4 glass of head. Took a half hour for it to go down, naturally the taste was altered, very dissatisfied.

It pours a dark black and gives a nice thick half inch foamy off-white head leaving some nice foamy lacing in rings. The smell has chocolate and malts up front coming forth roasty, smokey and robust. The taste is sweet with the chocolate and malts. The palate is smooth and creamy, thick and heavy. Overall, wow, what a great American Porter on a cold winter’s night that I would have again.

16 ounce can.
Pours black with a tan foam. Cocoa, roasted malt, toffee and mild coffee nose.
No surprises in the taste as it's loyal to the smell. Has both sweet and bitter notes that are pleasing to my palate.
Most worthy.
