16 ounce can.
Pours black with a tan foam. Cocoa, roasted malt, toffee and mild coffee nose.
No surprises in the taste as it's loyal to the smell. Has both sweet and bitter notes that are pleasing to my palate.
Most worthy.

On tap at The Burren (during Irish music!). Really in the mood for a dark beer on a cold afternoon, and this hit the spot.

Nice chocolate aroma and color with a caramel foam head. Good flavor profile with a nice feel for the style of beer. It is a nice one and done type of drink, good for an after dinner treat. Overall nice choice for a cocoa based porter.

16 oz. can

Pours dark brown black with a creamy tan foam head. Smells like roasted cacao, dark chocolate, milk chocolate, dark malty molasses, brown sugar, caramel, dark toffee, mild dark fruits, with herbal earthy grassy pine. Tastes like dark baker's chocolate, roasted cacao, milk chocolate, dark malty molasses, brown sugar, caramel, dark toffee, mild dark fruit, with herbal earthy grassy pine. Feels medium bodied, creamy and slick with moderate carbonation. Overall a real nice porter with cacao.

pouring a cellar temp bottle into a snifter. The beer pours a dark cola brown color with creamy tan head of about 1 cm that fades to a clingy edge layer. Tight lattice on the glass after each sip.
The aroma is roasted malt and brown sugar with a little bit of dark chocolate mixed in for good measure. I dont get any booze nor any hops on the nose of this malty beer.
First sip reveals a silky smooth texture and average to a little thin body. The carbonation is very mild and barely rolls across my palate.
Flavor is roast malt and some dark chocolate with a bit of brown sugar. No booze or hops here either, and the beer is very easy to drink. A nice porter if you like the style and worth a try.

Black in color with no light penetration. There's a quarter inch of creamy brown resting on top. The aroma is a very cocoa powder forward ale with light malt in the mix. I taste a blend of dark malt and cocoa powder. The mouth is very creamy, smooth, and dry.

I tried this after a long day of tasting at other breweries in and around Boston, so my rating might not be entirely accurate.
