Pours a clear, darker amber color with almost two fingers of head that settles to a thick cap. Moderate amount of sticky lacing is left down the glass. The lees in the bottle cloud up the glass on the last pour. It certainly looks attractive.
Fruity ester yeast aroma and of course it has vinous qualities as well. Nice amount of pale malt is detected. No sign of alcohol.
The flavor is where the white grapes really come through. The alcohol comes up as well and finishes like a white wine with flavor and warmth. Notes of fruit like pears and apples. An interesting experiment.
Medium bodied and nicely carbonated. Good texture.
Sort of drinks like a white wine, Belgian Tripel blend. Still maintains enough of a beer flavor to satisfy me.

A: Pours hazy gold under a 1” white foam collar that quickly drops to a film that leaves splotches of lace.
S: Grape, melon, spice, light grains
T: Fruit, melon, tropical fruit, banana, spice with a spicy fruit aftertaste. The alcohol is unnoticeable. The malt is in the background along with a little graininess. There is an interaction between sweet and tart especially on the finish.
M: The carbonation is medium low but it comes across creamy and finely bubbled. Medium body.
O: A bit of a wine beer hybrid. Using some champagne yeast to bring the carbonation up would add siome acidity and bite to balance the sweetness and would put this beer over the top.

I have no idea how the person who created the post for this beer described it as a Belgian Pale Ale, that's incredibly inaccurate. The brewery says:
"HALUCIDATION is a collaboration with Parley Lakes Winery and is a unique beer/wine hybrid. We selected Minnesota native Frotenac Gris grapes for their apricot, and tropical fruit character to balance with the peppery esters of the a high alcohol Belgian-style ale.
Strong Belgian Ale Brewed with Parley Lakes Frotenac Gris grape juice.
12.5%ABV"
In any case, with none of that information in hand, I ordered a pour of it, and I'd classify it as a saison (as it is on Untapped) simply because that's what it tastes like. It is absolutely delicious, one of my favorite saisons that I've ever had. It's one of those beers where every sip reveals something new, there is a lot going on in there - it'll have your taste buds doing a happy dance.

This beer was very unique for me. The beer was bold, bright and complex. At 12.5%abv it shouldn't be taken lightly since its hidden quite well. The Frontenac grape is very apparent in this beer but, not enough to overtake the characteristics of a beer.

A - Apricot color. Lovely and clear.
S - Sour and wine grapes.
T - Great combo of sweet, sour and wine. It's like the best of both worlds.
MF - A little thin, but easy drinking. Finish is a hint astringent.
O - This is a wonderful blend of what is best about wine and beer. So good. I hope Lucid makes it again!
