A Mexican-Bohemian style ale brewed with malted barley and flaked maize. Its crisp, dry character is complemented by its light body and noble hop aroma.

In Michigan over Father's Day and I'm trying La Cerveza from Cheboygan Brewering. It poured a clear golden color with thin white head that did not leave a lacing. The smell includes grains with hints of lemon citrus. The taste is very smooth and a good mix of biscuit and light touches of lemon. The mouthfeel is light to medium in body with subtle carbonation. Overall it is a very tasty beer and would be good with a lime.

16 ounce can into pint glass, canned on 4/16/2019. Pours slightly hazy/cloudy pale golden straw color with a 1-2 finger fairly dense and fluffy white head with great retention, that reduces to a small cap that lingers. Nice spotty foamy lacing clings on the glass, with a fair amount of streaming carbonation. Aromas of lemon, cracker, corn, white bread dough, and lightly toasted biscuit; with lighter notes of pear, red apple, wood, herbal, floral, grass, pepper, and yeast earthiness. A bit too fruity/yeasty aromas, but not overwhelming. Nice and pleasant aromas with good balance of pale malt/grains and light-moderate earthy hop/fruity yeast notes; with solid strength. Taste of lemon, cracker, corn, white bread dough, and lightly toasted biscuit; with lighter notes of pear, red apple, wood, herbal, floral, grass, pepper, and yeast earthiness. Light herbal, floral, woody, grassy, peppery bitterness on the finish. Lingering notes of lemon, cracker, corn, white bread dough, lightly toasted biscuit, pear, red apple, wood, herbal, floral, grass, pepper, and yeast earthiness on the finish for a good bit. Great robustness and balance of pale malt/grains and light-moderate earthy hop/fruity yeast flavors; with a great malt/bitterness balance, and no cloying/astringent flavors after the finish. Fairly crisp/clean finishing. Light-moderate increasing dryness from lingering bitterness and carbonation. Medium-plus carbonation and light-medium body; with a very smooth, moderately bready/grainy, and fairly sticky mouthfeel that is great. Zero warming alcohol as expected of 4%. Overall this is a very nice blonde ale. All around nice robustness and balance of pale malt/grains and light-moderate earthy hop/fruity yeast flavors; very smooth, refreshing, and fairly crisp/clean to drink with the mildly bitter/drying finish. Very flavorful and not watery for the ABV. Great clean pale malt/grain showcase; with nice earthy hop presence/balance, and restrained yeast fruitiness. Not overdone on adjuncts. A very enjoyable offering, and well made style example. Would be a great summer brew.

Had this one on tap at the brewery. Served in a clear plastic cup. Hazy yellow in color, just a shade lighter than their honey blood orange. Aroma is biscuit and citrus, with a real hint of lime scent. Taste follows, with a crisp, dry feel that perfectly captures the style. Mexican-bohemian ales aren't necessarily my thing, but some of the northern Michigan breweries (see also Short's Cerveza de Julie) have it down.
