The color on this guy was a deep copper. Flavor and aroma were more citrus and hops like an ipa than the malt notes id like from a pale ale. The taste was very strong, hits you right in the mouth. The mouthfeel was also pretty intense for a pale ale. This seems like a pale ale trying to be an ipa. Not a bad beer, but not necessarily what youd want in a pale ale.

From the 16 oz. can marked 2604-1627. Sampled on August 11, 2015.

Medium amber pour with a long lasting cream colored head.

The aroma has a roasted malt note as well as a kind of perfume hoppiness.

Light to medium body.

The taste3 ahs this same sort of perfume character with a fairly biting bitterness that kicks in at the end.

Good lookin, good smellin' beer with permanent white head and rich copper color. Aroma is hoppy and clean. Flavor disappoints due to an initial metallic twang and disjointed sweetness versus hop flavor. Mouth feel is medum. A bit off but not terrible.

Shaker pint glass serving on draft. Golden/amber hue with nice retention. Mouth feel is rich and somewhat creamy. Sweeter than many pale ales with some tropical fruit undertones. A bit too sweet perhaps. Well hopped with a lingering bitterness. Generally a rich and full offering. A nice new local sample on this latest NYC trip.

On tap, served in shaker pint glass. Dark copper in color. Mildly hoppy earthy aroma. Taste is a bit off, the hop and malt flavor just doesn't totally jive.

Very smooth highly drinkable ale, had this at a bar in Ney York. Light amber color with a refreshing taste.

I'm really glad I got the opportunity to sample this beer during a recent trip to NYC. Enjoyed out of a paper Hampton Inn glass, disappeared in a hurry. I would definitely seek this one out again.
