12oz bottle, pint glass, best by 9/29/19.
Copper and clear with a swirling, towering head.
Metallic, gentle citrus, caramel malt.
Again caramel and grapefruit with a piercing bitterness that leaves lingering grapefruit pith and soap on the tongue.
This is very easy drinking; a combination of it being very clean and medium-light bodied with unobtrusive carbonation.
Sum of its parts or something. It’s hoppy bitter, not hoppy flavorful, and sometimes that hits the spot.

This is under-rated here, and should be a 4.0. Rail Splitter is a bit of a hop bomb with a very bitter finish. Might compare to Dale's Pale or Hop Stoopid. If you're an IPA fan, pick some up when in the Indy area and you won't be disappointed.

Local for me, so I've had it fresh and a bit bottle aged both. I'd call this a standard, basic tasting AIPA, but that doesn't mean mediocre.
This is a quality, balanced taste, bitterness in the right places and at the right strength. You expect the punch of the hops, but this is such a symmetrical brew that you'll be wanting more.
Slightly heavy in the aftertaste, and a slightly light on head and "brightness" but overall well balanced.

First had poured from 12-oz. bottle, label stamped "BEST BY 01 13 18," into tumbler. Rather straightforward and more than serviceable traditional American IPA.
