Stopped by around 7 PM on a Thursday. The area is a little weird. There's nothing much there, for one. Secondly, what's going there seems sort of like one of those gated retirement complexes, only it's designed for young professionals. I dunno, maybe it'll be cool. Right now, however, it's nothing.

WBNA was on the TV, which is nice. Aside from that, the interior was very metal. Not in the Dio sense, but in the "lots of exposed beams and corrugated tin" sense, with warm tracklighting and slick, polished wood. It's a very new building that tries to seem old, and in spite of being ersatz it's fairly warm and welcoming (aside from the brewing area, which stretches way, way back and reminds me of the aesthetic from the movie _Brazil._)

The beer was solid. They don't serve food directly on the premises, but every day of the week they have a new food van out in the parking lot, and they have a big menu up on the wall letting you know which van comes which day. That's cool. They also had some prime shit on the guest taps.

The downsides are that the place had a little bit of an uppity vibe. The prices were ridiculous--pints and growlers cost more than the do at Three Floyds. The crowd was friendly, but most of them looked like they just got done golfing and/or had spent the day yelling at their secretaries.

Visited Triton Brewery awhile back before the winter kicked in. We quaffed outside on the patio. The service was outstanding. The waitress allowed us to try multiple samples to help us decide what beers to order. She had such a keen memory that she did not write down a single order. We had 7 people in our party ordering several rounds....impressive memory on her part! We were there right at the noon opening so the inside was empty, but the decor was warm and friendly. I had to go inside because the beer was so good I wanted to pick out a variety pack to take home.

I lived near the main brewery for 2 years and to this day, it's my favorite spot in Indy for beer. They always have some great guest taps and Sin Bin from the source is just so much better than in a bottle. Winter time is great for all the stout and porter lovers as they usually have some great choices. Gingerbread Brown is another great beer from the tap rather than the bottle.

The beer is of amazing variety and relatively well priced. They offer mixed 6 packs which was great for my purposes. Their ipas are strong and well balanced my favorite was o'rye n galaxy ipa which was pure galaxy hops but had that rye spice which was very nice. I'll definitely add it to my future stops. Good trucks were hit or miss.

cool industrial space, lots of sun, exposed beams, but i could see this place getting noisy if there were a crowd. kind of a remote location - not sure, but the building may be a rehabbed barracks. tried a flight sample, love their glassware - globes, rather than the traditional glassware you find. beer, on the other hand, just OK with some definite misses. service was great. food truck outside, kids are welcomed/present.
