Taste: slight sweet cocoa, maybe a bit artificial chocolate like the cereal it is named for. Same with the nose. Blackish hue, opaque, delicate head and lace. Medium body.

This was also a decent offering from Olde Peninsula. The beer poured an opaque black with white head that did not lace. The scent and taste had roast and coffee with subtle milk chocolate tones. The mouthfeel was lighter in body with subtle carbonation. Overall it is a nice sessionable stout for Halloween season.

Had on draft at Olde Peninsula tonight with my Wife. This one poured a dark brown, and I could smell the sweet chocolate coming off of this beer before putting it to my nose. The beer honestly tasted like Count Chocula (or any other chocolate puff cereal you can think of). I was pretty impressed with this stout given that I'd never heard of Olde Peninsula before today.

Bizarrely overwhelmed by milk chocolate, nearly excluding every other flavor. Quite black in the mug. Brown around the edges. The modest head dissipates. More like hot chocolate out of the vending machine, or maybe the flavored powdered coffee "lightener."

If you like Hershey bars you won't mind it. After a while it tastes like wine with a bitter fruity note. But then its back to chocolate covered cherries.

Had on tap at the brewery.

A: Pours black with a finger of light brown head.

S: Aroma of bitter roasted coffee and bitter dark chocolate.

T: Upfront bitter chocolate followed by a slight acetic flavor. Finish is bitter coffee.

M: Medium body with good carbonation.

O: A solid beer.

Pours a lovely shade of black with a thick foamy tan head that left thick layers of lacing the entire time I was drinking.

There is no doubt and no surprise that chocolate dominates the nose with a milky cream and caramel malt as well.

The flavor is also no big surprise but it is a big flavor. Chocolate is once again in the forefront with caramel and milk also in the mix. With a name like Stout Chocula, there had better be plenty of chocolate in the flavor and nose to go around and this lives up to it.

The nitro tap makes it very smooth which is only beneficial to the flavor.

The more that I have this beer, the more enjoyable it becomes. The nitro-tap is wonderful for this brew. I highly recommend it to any stout fan.

Roasty chocolate aroma preasant immediately upon pouring. The beer is black in color with a 1/2 inch tan head. Very rich chocolate flavor with a sweet finish. Creamy, although not on a nitro-tap. Definitely flashed back to a nice glass of chocolate milk.
