Big Wood Morning Wood Coffee Stout, ironically lots of head. Has 5.5% ABV, 35 IBU. Pours thin and dark, with lots of head, excellent lacing. Smell is slight coffee. Taste is....not much of anything, slight coffee if you look for it. No bitterness, thin mouthfeel. Overall it is inoffensive, which is not always bad if you like stouts but don't like them bitter. It could be passed off as a porter - which in my admittedly limited experience have less flavor than stouts.

Surprised to see this beer only rated an 81.
I'm a couple beers deep, but this beer is damn good. It's a coffee stout style. The look is a nice opaque dark brown. The smell is like my black coffee in the morning with a slight presence of roasty-ness and minor vanilla notes. The taste is a rich, deep flavor of roasted malts with mild hop flavor to even things out. The feel is perfect for a breakfast...Easy to drink (with wood). Overall, very good coffee stout. One of my favorites from the midwest region so far. Prost!

16 oz can served in a mug at the 2015 Albino Skunk Music Festival.
Pours very dark brown with an exceptionally creamy head.
The aroma is moderately strong with at least as much chocolate as coffee and roast grain. The coffee comes to the fore upon tasting. It’s nearly matched by the rich, dark roasted grains. Moderately bitter.
