Metallic hops flavor aftertaste and simple structure. Just an average beer.

I've heard such good things about this beer....just didn't do it for me. Maybe I'll try Cat 5

On tap at Disney World - poured into a plastic cup

L: Pours a hazy golden amber. Moderate white head.

S: Biscuits and piney hops. Sweet.

T/F: Not as hoppy as the smell would have indicated. Biscuity and sweet, and frankly I didn't much care for the flavor. Moderate carbonation and a bit thick.

O: Below average IPA and not one I'd try again. Too bready and sweet and something was off flavor wise that I can't put my finger on.

First had: on tap at Coffee District, Delray Beach, FL

Slightly hazy, amber pour with a small white head that receded to a wispy layer, leaving a few spots of lacing on the glass. Smell was a bit funky, and not in a saison way, like something was off here; thin and malty, soapy, distant leafy hops. This translated into the taste, unfortunately. It wasn't completely undrinkable, but this was not a very well-done IPA overall. Sweet thinned-out malts, light fruits, dishwater, leafy hops that really didn't provide a freshness or crispness that, in my opinion, makes a good IPA. Light-medium body, and just not very drinkable. Fortunately, this was a taster, because, hmm...

Pretty bland. Not very hoppy. Middle of the road

On tap at the brewery. Served in a taster.

Appearance - Clear orange body. Nice white head. Good retention. Nice lacing.

Smell - Mild citrus and pine hop. Diacetyl? Might be.

Taste - Still some diacetyl here, but less. Mild citrus hop. Grainy malt smoothed out by the buttery flavor. Eh.

Mouthfeel - Medium body. Medium carbonation.

Overall - Diacetyl kills this. Maybe it's a bad batch.

Up until now, this Florida trip had been surprisingly good, beerwise. This one is by far the worst. It could be a bad can, but I have a sample of one and I will leave it at that.

It looks like an AIPA - yellow. It has a very nice head. The aroma is the first hint that something might not be right here. The sourness is broadcasting. In the taste is it screaming, "Pour me down the drain." There is an overpowering sourness. I was hoping to have a nice sour beer at some point in this trip (Tomoka is supposed to have a couple), but not like this.

I had to go check the can in the condo's recycling bin. Yup - it's 5 months old. Still, it went really, really bad.
