This award-winning dark ale is surprisingly smooth and drinkable. Caramel, molasses and chocolate flavors fill the palate. Its sweet start is perfectly balanced by a roasted dry finish. Nitrogen-conditioned.

Served on nitro tap in a pint glass
Appearance – The beer is served a deep brown color with tons of tan colored bubbles streaming up through the brew. The bubbles settle uptop to leave a tan colored head of one finger that has a great level of retention. The head fades very slowly over time to leave a bunch of foamy lace on the sides of the glass.
Smell – The aroma of the brew is strong of a chocolate smell mixed with some nice roasted malt and a touch of vanilla. Along with these smells comes a touch of nut and brown bread as well giving a sweet and dark aroma.
Taste – The taste begins with a rich and sweet roasted malt flavor with tons of chocolate, caramel and molasses. These sweet flavors remain very strong remaining big throughout the flavor profile. At the same time some of the roastiness initially fades, only to come back again a bit. With a touch of a nut and some very light hay and herb that comes at the end, one is left with a sweet and lightly roasted malt taste to linger on the tongue.
Mouthfeel – Being a nitro pour the body of the brew is a bit more creamy and smooth. For the dark and sweet chocolate flavors the feel is rather good and makes for a nice easy sipper overall.
Overall – A pretty decent porter. A little weak on the roast and quite sweet, but for the most part it has a nice flavor profile and has an easy drinking nature.

A creamy inoffensive porter. Mild chocolate and smooth. Not the best porter but easy to knock back.

Very smooth, easy-to-drink. Goes well with hamburger, but good with no food at all.

Way more in line with a dry Irish than a porter, essentially a blander Guinness. Zero aroma whatsoever, zero discernible flavor except "cold" and "nitro". But it looks nice and it's easy to drink, cold and mellow with a nose-tickling nitro, creamy texture and a decent head. This isn't for anyone that is looking for flavor, aroma, or body though.

Very dark body & lovely long lasting head that was still there at the bottom of the glass after I finished off the beer. Not much of an aroma was detected, just a hint of chocolate. Nice flavor, slightly salty, chocolate, mocha & malt. It felt a thin. Overall pretty good.

This porter has one of the strongest lacing patterns I've seen. A full white curtain drapes down the glass as you drink. The body is dark and opaque. Very quiet nose, slight hint of limestone and bread dough. The taste is mostly bitter roasted malt notes, burnt toast, with some residual sweetness that remains largely hidden. Feel is pretty clean, but overall, the beer is a bit disappointing.

Brown color, darker than average brown color, heady inch of tan head in it, its a good looking beer. Aroma was real mild, faint, chocolate malt, roast.
Taste is smooth, not a lot of the darker malt and roasting or hopping comes through, I think this was nitro'd or something to smooth it all out and make it easier drinking.
Good intro to porters kind of beer for people.

Had this on tap in Tacoma, WA.
Beer pours dark, with a nice 1cm head in a pilsner glass that lasted through most of the session.
Smell of chocolate on the nose, and also ethanol. Not promising.
Smooth light roast character on the palate, little bit of chocolate, finishes with noticeable ethanol heat.
Beer was surprisingly light and watery, I don't think being served on nitro helped anything.
Overall the beer was smooth, but the solventy ethanol flavors just kill it.
