A Silver Medal winner in Strong Ales at the 1996 Great American Beer Festival. This Irish-style strong ale is brewed with a secret blend of five imported specialty malts. Not too hoppy in order to emphasize the complex malt flavor and fruity aroma.

Color is copper with a shallow head. Not much of a nose, but the taste and feel makes this a good beer. My first time sipping it. I will have more.

Appearance: On tap at Daytona Beach location. Deep, clear brick red amber with persistent tan head that was sticky.

Aroma: Mild musk and a hint of molasses.

Taste: Malty, sweet bread, a little caramel.

Feel: Soft.

Overall: Good red ale that has remained pleasant over the years.

I think this is a really nice Red Ale. I drink it a lot at BJs and have never had any quality issues with it. It has a nice feel and a medium taste and it finishes with no bad malts or hops. I recommend that you try this!

Served on tap in a pint glass
Appearance – The beer is served a deep brick red color with a tiny head of just off white foam. The head fades fast leaving just a trace of lace on the sides of the glass.
Smell – The aroma of the brew is very strong of a caramel smell mixed with aromas of a molasses and a toasted malt. Along with these smells comes some notes of a brown sugar and an almost cookie dough like smell. The aroma is sweet and delicious.
Taste – The tastes begins with a big sweeter flavor of caramel and molasses mixed with a moderately strong showing of a toasted brown bread flavor. There flavors are strong throughout the flavor profile and create a base taste for the brew. As the taste advances more sweetness of a dark fruit nature comes to the tongue, being predominantly of cherry and plum. The roastiness also increase a little bit more toward the end of the taste and is joined by a lighter grassy and earthy taste to leave one with a somewhat sweet, but rather well balanced malty red ale taste to linger on the tongue.
Mouthfeel – The body of the brew is slightly thicker and heavier with a carbonation level that is on the lower side. For the style the feel is pretty nice and makes for a nice slow sipper.
Overall – A pretty tasty and rich red overall. Lots of malt and sweet, but balanced just enough with a light hop and roast to make it quite easy drinking.

Jeremiah Red has a thick, ivory head, an opaque, red-rust-copper appearance, and heavy glass lacing. The aroma is of rich malt, tannins, spice, & brown bread crust. The flavor is similarly rich, with relatively low bitterness. Mouthfeel is heavy, and Jeremiah Red finishes sweet.

On tap at BJ’s, look is clear reddish copper, off white head. Not much smell, slightly sweet malt, molasses, a little spice. Taste is similar, very easy drinking. Low abv, good dinner beer, goes with just about anything. I will have to try more from this style, it’s quite nice.

Expected little, left amazed. For a restaurant house beer this is superb.

My favorite red ale. A good, strong ale. Great flavor and aroma. I won't drink any other beer at BJ's Brewhouse. If I had access to it otherwise I wouldn't drink any other reds. Easily in my top 3 favorite beers.
