smudged canning date but appears to be 9 weeks old. nice orange smell upon pouring but not a lot of head and what head there is lasts a very short time. No lacing. A hint of blood orange color. Very clear, no haze. The hop bitterness leaves me thinking more “blood orange rind” and pith than blood orange fruity goodness. Probably ok if you feel like a orange/fruity twist on an American iPA but not sure it is among my favorite orange/blood orange infused beers.

This is my go-to beer to introduce out-of-towners to the local San Diego beer scene. Plenty drinkable with a higher ABV. Citrus notes are the perfect balance to minimize the bitterness of an IPA. Great clarity in the visual aspect. Citrus aroma from the nose. Crisp in the mouth.

Smells of dank hops and deep citrus, decent head and dark golden color. Nice taste, heavy citrus, orange, a little sweet and a little bitter - nice combo with some malt thrown in for good measure. This is a solid exemplar of the style and I like it more then the Lagunitas version so there’s that, cheers!

This is another one of those “daring” beers where the Hops aren’t the only flavor added but a fruit- and although it could be risky to do it with orange, it is a AMAZINGLY blended flavor- the typical Hoppy taste any IPA lover like myself looks for most, is not compromised by the citrus “orange” touch. The head, color, smell and texture is amazing. I equate it with Deschutes Fresh Squeezed as the best fruity IPA’s out there. You will not regret drinking this fine beer!

Color is a hazy burnt orange that pours with a finger and a half of off-white sudsy head that has an ok amount of retention to it that leaves nice strings of lacing on the glass.
Light nose to it, hoppy with a good hit of citrus and a faint hint of caramel.
Good amount of medium sweet citrus flavor forward, slightly heavier and fuller bodied as well as sweeter tasting then navel oranges would be.
Body is medium/ heavy a bit more solid then I would expect out of it, with a moderate sweetness to it, lots of caramel flavor and an average amount of carbonation to it, for its style.
Finish is faintly waxy with a fairly pithy bitterness, and some faintly piney hints with a solidly lingering, slightly sour, citric acid, orange juice note and sticky caramel sweetness on the aftertaste.
Not bad for a orange IPA though a bit on the heavier side, not exactly a all day drinking outside kinda beer.

Six pack of cans picked up by my wife's friend in San Diego.
No dating on the cans. Poured in to a Sam Smith's pint glass.
Look- Clear darker copper color, good off-white/slightly pink head that slowly dissipates, a good bit of lacing. Solid carbonation streaming as it sits.
Smell- Insanely good. HEAVY blood orange, awesome pithy citrus (grapefruit, tangerine and lemon/lime), bready/caramel malts. Mild stone fruit and tropical fruit, light grassy/floral notes.
Taste- Slightly dialed back from the nose, caramel malts are much more prevalent. A little sweet at first then the hops kick in the bitterness in the finish, nicely balanced.
Feel- Medium bodied, very smooth with a semi-sweet, lightly bitter finish. Moderate carbonation on the tongue.
O- The aroma of this is incredible. Wife's friend should have brought up more than a sixer. Going to search for this at local bottle shops.

12 oz. can:
Pours orange amber with a thin white head. Some lacing sticks.
The smell is of strong blood oranges - Almost like an orange creamsicle.
The taste is of sweet blood oranges mixed with a solid IPA. The IPA character shows with grapefruit and some grass. Sweet kiss with bitterness in the finish. Alcohol well-covered.
It drinks easy for abv level. Creamy and smooth.
A well-done fruit infused IPA. Blood oranges stand out and enhances without overwhelming. Very drinkable and enjoyable! Well-done!

Very well balanced ipa. Not too hoppy, not too fruity! Very nice! A pleasant surprise.
