1609 isn’t a year. It’s a landmark in time. When explorers first set foot on that massive dune along the Atlantic, they set in motion a chain of events that would one day give us The Playground of the World. And to that, we drink.
1609 is a bold amber ale with a malt-forward, slightly nutty character and a strong citrus hop nose.

Deep and clear amber color; big, beige head. The aroma of malt, bread, grass, and herbs. Some strange notes in taste that I am not able to distinguish. Caramel Maltiness and bitterness go together. Not bad, but not extraordinary.

A- copper orange in color with a one finger head that is foamy and hillside like lacing on pint.
S- caramel and honey are dominant. i also get an earthy aroma
F- honey and citrus come through in the tongue unlike the nose. caramel rounds out the back end.
M- dry and hoppy yet crisp and caramel malt like
O- not a bad amber. pretty decent and i would buy a sixer of this.
