1609 isn’t a year. It’s a landmark in time. When explorers first set foot on that massive dune along the Atlantic, they set in motion a chain of events that would one day give us The Playground of the World. And to that, we drink.
1609 is a bold amber ale with a malt-forward, slightly nutty character and a strong citrus hop nose.
35 IBU

12 oz bottle. Pours amber with tall, long-lasting, fluffy white head and nice lacing. Aroma is of citrusy hops, caramel malt and ripe fruit. Body is medium and crisp. Herbal hops, caramel malt and ripe fruit fill the mouth. Finish is long and dry. Nothing special brew.

A- copper orange in color with a one finger head that is foamy and hillside like lacing on pint.
S- caramel and honey are dominant. i also get an earthy aroma
F- honey and citrus come through in the tongue unlike the nose. caramel rounds out the back end.
M- dry and hoppy yet crisp and caramel malt like
O- not a bad amber. pretty decent and i would buy a sixer of this.
