12 oz bottle poured into a Savor snifter. Best by November 15 notched on bottle.

Pours a hazy orange color with a finger of fluffy foam that takes a few minutes to recede. Aroma is quite nice, full of grapefruit and tropical citrus hop flavors with a hint of grassiness.

First sip is full of grassy hop flavors and a strong bitterness. Metallic twinge on the back end as well. Very hoppy and bitter - not too well balanced though. The grassy and citrus hop flavors compete with one another - this smells much better than it tastes (although it is by no means bad).

This is a solid IPA that could just use a little balance of the hop flavors. Looks and smells great, and tastes... pretty good.

12 oz bottle, w/ best before dating notched onto the side of the label.

Pours hazed honey amber, and leaves more then ample fine lacing up high on the glass.

Hoppy sniff.

Nothing amazing going on here but this is a respectable IPA, resiny hops carrying the weight.

Not going to win too many awards, break any records or redefine the style; but if you're looking for a good drinkable shelf ipa from brooklyn then you've found it.

Had this on draft at Hurleys Saloon in Mahattan NYC (Hells kitchen) Taste - a point blank shot of hops - very hop forward sweet/bitter hops with a clean smooth finish.. drinks like a "session " ale but with all the alcohol goodness of a regular ipa. Surprisingly this tasted like a West Coast IPA - lots of citrus notes and very well balanced. I was surprised at this one - get it if you can.

12 oz bottle gifted by a friend who visited to NY.

Pours a medium-dark gold color, slightly hazy; very foamy, soapy head that leaves spotty rings on the glass.

Aroma is fairly strong with bready malt and a touch of citrus. Not much tropical as others have suggested.

Taste is a well done balance of malt and hops up front - really punches hard at the start with everything its got. Hop flavor is a little lost with all the bitterness but there appears to be a touch of sweet malt behind as well as some lemon and possibly orange rind. The finish is slightly dank, which might appeal to some.

Bitterness dominates the mouth feel. but the malt is fairly thin so it is clean and unsticky. Bitterness lingers in the aftertaste.

A good standard IPA in that it adds a little hop flavor in to a clean high-bitterness beer. It is a bold beer in that it comes on strong, so it is worth a try for sure - nothing offensive in this one other than a little breadiness in the nose, which I don't particularly like. I suspect they hit the mark well for what they were going for.

Poured from a brown 12 oz. bottle. Has a dark golden color with a 1/2 inch head. Smell is of hops, citrus, some pine. Taste is the same, citrus hops, pine, some malts, smooth and refreshing. Feels medium bodied in the mouth and overall a tasty and easy drinking beer.
