This definitely tastes like Orange cream soda. A good one at that. Yes, it is sweet, but that is what you expect, right? It is reminiscent of the Mikes hard lemonade where there is barely a hint of alcohol in the taste, you get a thirst quench, yet you enjoy the pleasant effect of it. This is very well done.

Coney Island Hard Orange Cream Ale has a thick, quickly-dissipating, white head, a clear, orange-copper appearance, and no lacing. Aroma & flavor are of A&W Cream Soda. There is an orange undertaste. Light-to-medium mouthfeel. Sweet finish. I don't like this type of thing (flavored soda), but they nailed the style.

I'm new to beer. I like this one. It tastes like a orange creamsicle with not any alcohol aftertaste. Danger danger. I'd buy it again.

Decanted from a 12 oz (355 ml) bottle into a conical pint glass; drink before April 2018.
A: Pours a crystal clear, tarnished bronze color with a briefly evident head, little retention, and no lacing.
S: Tart without clear evidence of citrus. Aroma somewhere between cream soda and sarsaparilla.
T: Very sweet. Flavors of cream soda and sarsaparilla predominate. Orange flavor subtle but appreciable at times, but seems artificial and medicinel. No appreciable bitterness.
M: Light bodied with moderate amount of carbonation. Smooth, with a very sweet, although not unpleasant aftertaste, like an unadulterated soda.
O: Hardly seems a cream ale, pretty clearly a hard soda. Drinkable, orange element does not really add. Should have contemplated a hard cream soda.

Smells like orange creamsicle and the initial taste reminded of Stewart's orange cream. But the finish is very odd....Almost medicinal. Hides the alcohol well. Don't think I'll be revisiting.

A: The beer is crystal clear orange yellow in color and has a light to moderate amount of visible carbonation. It poured with a quarter finger high white head that died down, but left a narrow collar around the edge of the glass.
S: The taste has light to moderate aromas of orange cream soda.
T: The taste follows the smell and has associated flavors of sweetness.
M: It feels medium-bodied, smooth, and a little creamy on the palate with a moderate amount of carbonation.
O: This tastes like a hybrid of an orange cream soda and an orange creamsicle. It hides its alcohol very well.

L-orange color with a white head. S-has a vanilla and cream smell. T and F-taste and feel is very sweet with vanilla and cream. Overall this beer doesn't taste like a beer, it tastes like a hard cream soda. Very sweet. Will definitely have again.

From a bottle, pours a clear deep copper with a thin white head that quickly disbursed. The first whiff brought back childhood memories; all cream soda. Flavors are orange and cream-soda with some sweet vanilla. I might convince myself there's some malt, but certainly there's zero hops. This is a fun Summer vacation beverage, but not every day.

I have been diddling around with these hard sodas, many of which do not even meet the criteria for inclusion on this site, and this one has made its way into the rotation.

From the bottle: "An amalgamation of orange, vanilla and spice inspired by the deliciously unexpected concoctions you only find on the boardwalk. Are you tall enough to ride?"; "Get your tickets here! It's a small price for a thrilling escape. Buckle up, passengers, and hang on to your hats; we're on a steep track to bring you back to the boardwalk. Coney Island, where anything is possible if you're ready to #TakeTheRide."

I Pop!ped the cap and then gave it a really aggro pour to see what would happen. It acted more like pop than ale, foaming up into two fingers of soapy, foamy, bone-white head that quickly reduced down to wisps. Color was a solid Amber (SRM = > 7, < 9) with NE-plus quality clarity. Nose smelled like a cross between Fanta Orange pop and a Dreamsicle, very orange with some vanilla for good measure. Mouthfeel was kind of thin and watery. OMFG, is this sweet! I feel diabetes setting in from the first sip. Ugh. I like the orange and vanilla flavors commingled with a light spiciness, but the sugary sweetness is over the top. To give you a for instance, I really liked Seagram's Hard Soda - Orange Cream, but it did not qualify for this site. It managed to keep the sweetness in check, though. Finish was ... sweet! Wow! Who'd have guessed that? I am guessing that I am not the intended audience for this ale.

12 ounce bottle into Sam Adams pint glass, best before 9/2016. Pours crystal clear golden orange color with a 1 finger foamy white head with good retention, that reduces to a small cap that lingers. Light spotty soapy lacing clings on the glass, with a large amount of streaming carbonation retaining the cap. Aromas of big orange, vanilla, cream, honey, brown sugar, cola, mint, and herbal/woody earthiness. Very nice aromas with good balance of orange, vanilla, spice, and malt sweetness; with good strength. Taste of big orange, vanilla, cream, honey, brown sugar, cola, mint, and herbal/woody earthiness. Minimal spice bitterness on the finish; with lingering notes of orange, vanilla, cream, honey, brown sugar, cola, mint, and herbal/woody earthiness on the finish for a good bit. Very nice robustness and balance of orange, vanilla, spice, and malt sweetness; with zero cloying flavors after the finish. Medium-high carbonation and medium body; with a very smooth, crisp, and moderately creamy/slick mouthfeel that is nice. Zero alcohol warming as expected of 5%. Overall this is a very nice orange/vanilla cream ale. All around good robustness and balance of orange, vanilla, spice, and malt sweetness; very smooth, crisp, and refreshing to drink. A very enjoyable offering.
