Dive bar vibe with a focus on live music and sports. Quality of the beer list is well above average for the area with a large selection of local, regional and national brands. Service was a tad slow but friendly and helpful. There are 32 beers on tap and another 40+ available in bottles. The Smash Burger was gigantic and very tasty. My wife enjoyed the duck quesadilla as well. Cool spot.

Great spot to mingle with the locals of Tupelo, listen to live music (that's legit, given Tupelo forms the third point of a triangle between Memphis and Nashville), and drink a decently curated rotating tap list.

Atmosphere is everything here — this would be my go-to bar if I lived in Tupelo.
Beer selection is decent — not going to blow a neck-beard away, but definitely will scratch the itch.
Didn't eat the food, but saw a bunch come out and it looked delicious.

This was a nice road trip find on my way elsewhere!

Funky bar with live music & sports as focal points, along with beer. Nice outside area, but set aside for the smokers, so butts every damn where. It kind of killed my desire to play corn-hole there. As an old Senior NCO those butts drove me crazy, was about to intiate a clean-up order on the spot...

Beers were pretty good shape, none of the beers just popped for me & a couple seemed a little less than I recall

Service was fantastic, our Waitress Morgan was hustling her butt off & had some helful suggestions

Beer selection was pretty nice mixture of MS, Regional & National beers there exceeded my expectations. Wish they would've had a few more from Wiseacre, as their stuff is top notch. Had a couple of really interesting bottled offerings as well

Food was great. The fries were must-do, my shrimp tacos, also in that category

If ever back ion that neck of the woods, I would definetly stop. Pretty crowded early, so plan accordingly

Heard about the Blueberry Donut Bread Pudding that the Canoe serves so once I got into town I made sure to stop in and try it. I like the vibe of the place, it kind of reminded me of a bar you'd see in a Chuck Norris movie where there is a big bar fight scene. Anyhow, it's a cool spot. The tap list is extensive with some nice offerings on there. The Service was good and so was that Bread Pudding!

With 35 taps, Blue Canoe easily has the best craft beer selection of any bar in Tupelo. Wall to wall barn wood and low lighting make for a relaxing vibe. The food is excellent. Be sure to check the board on the wall for the daily specials, that's where they get really creative. They have live music 3 or 4 nights a week featuring national and regional touring bands. I don't work there, just a big fan of this bar!

The Blue Canoe is a jewel in Tupelo, MS for those looking for great food, great beer selection, and an awesome atmosphere. It really is impossible to try to think of anything negative about this place. The food has always been amazing, and the beer selection has plenty of choices to keep us craft beer fans happy. The atmosphere is unique and very laid back, with a large outdoor area and bands at times. Whenever my brother visits from out of town, this is the spot we always go to grab some beers, great food, and catch up.

Bearing in mind that this is in Tupelo, Mississippi - and having grown up there I can personally attest to what a wasteland of craft beer it is - this is the best bar with the greatest selection for about 50 miles. I visited last month and was astonished at this place even existing in Tupelo.

Their tap wall (15? 20? I can't remember the exact number) carries the best in MS brews: Southern Prohibition, Lucky Town, and others; not just Lazy Magnolia - and their local bottle selection is amazing, especially when you have to consider that in order to get anything other than a Bud Light in this town, you usually had to go to Kroger. And buy Bass.

The prices do run a bit steep ($1/$2 more for draft than you might expect), but honestly? It's worth it. Not only is it a trailblazer in the region, but the staff is friendly and moderately knowledgeable about what they're serving. The food is also top-notch.

My only complaint is the claustrophobic feel of the location. Parking is terrible, and if you go on a night when a band is playing, go outside and take advantage of the patio. Otherwise, you'll not be able to carry on a conversation.

This place is a bright spot in the state of Mississippi and has definitely made returning visits to my hometown of Tupelo to visit family so much more enjoyable. I actually look forward to going out! Even prior to the laws changing in July, Blue Canoe offers a great selection of brews with ever changing taps and bottles. The music and atmosphere is a true gem and the food is reasonably priced and has yet to disappoint. I love that they not only support local music and craft breweries, but also local farms and food.

My only complaint is the bar service. I'm not a complainer by any means and my husband bartended us both through graduate school and has 10+years behind a bar (I've put in my time in the restaurant biz as well). So, I'm genuine in my thoughts here. It's without fail that the bartenders are not very friendly and extremely, noticeably slow! It's very disappointing! Not to mention, the revenue loss by their pace and inefficiency.

Best beer selection within 100 miles, period. Add in the food and the music, and you have one helluva watering hole !!! The food is southern with a twist. Fried black eyed peas app, Sausage sloppy joes, etc.. The music is EPIC. No other location in the area offers their selection. The beer selection is great. He's keep the selection up to date. No stale beer faces here. Try the Hazelnut Rogue. YOU CAN'T JUST HAVE ONE. This place is a MUST STOP !!! I LOVE THE BLUE CANOE. I LOVE THE BLUE CANOE. I LOVE THE BLUE CANOE !!!

Before I start, lets just make clear that this bar is situated in Tupelo MS, crippled by ancient beer laws. Keep that in mind when you judge the selection and you will be impressed. The taps selection changes very regularly and steers away from bmc products. Bottle selection stays fresh and updated including Rogue bombers at a great price.
Food's great, interesting list of sandwiches, I've yet to try anything there I don't like. The bartenders are extremely friendly and if it's on tap, you can always sample the brew before you order it. There's a nice covered patio out back, bands playing 3-4 nights a week and there's been a few cask tastings so far.

By far the best bar within 50miles of Tupelo!
