Super clear and crisp pilsner. Good malty characteristic.

a crispy and well done pils here, basic but solid, perhaps a little more substantial than some others, but it does the trick for me in the context of a warm summer night when the sun is still shining late up here, frothy and cold with high carbonation, and this one isnt hurting for flavor either, pale barley driven, european tasting to me with a lot of minerals evident in the water profile, some noble hops and attendant bitterness on the finish, and a doughy lager yeast that does its job well here. fairly equal contribution from all the elements, good balance, but it is a tad less refreshing than the best of them even though its on the dry side. this is one of those beers the colder the better for me, its tighter and cleaner when it is, which i guess isnt always true with a pils, but that is definitely the case this time. i enjoyed all the beers i had from king street on my recent trip to alaksa, lots of relatively basic styles done well in my experience, hope to explore more of their stuff next time up! i did not see a ton of great lagers in town, so perhaps this fills an important local niche there...

edit: had a can of this a few nights ago and its better than i remember it being on my last trip to alaska, seems lighter and brighter, more effervescent, without the grain heft in the taste so much either, i think more refined than it was, perhaps this was either fresher than my first time or they have improved. boosting the mouthfeel score a bit here to reflect the improvement...

Absolutely love this beer, a matter of fact, last yr. I probably bought a six pack of this beer on a weekly basis..I love the cool, crisp clean slightly sweet, malty profile this beer presents..Its a very safe beer and I usually don't buy to many pilsners but i love this one and look foward in the future to try more of them..

Sweet/malty/crisp easy drinking that is smooth and at 5.5% I'm definitely liking this pilsner..Like I said before, pilsners are low in abv, but the taste makes me want to explore more..

Looks golden in color. Typical lager smell on top of some light floral hops and a slight sweetness. Nice light malt flavor, slightly sweet, and a hint of spicy hops pokes through. Nice light body. Easy drinking. Too easy. This is the shit.

My FIRST ever pilsner here... poured from a can into my pint class, moderately chilled.

It has less than a finger of white head that disappears very fast, and its color is a crystal-clear sunset orange with quite a bit of visible carbonation. 3.89.

The aroma is bready, and also somewhat buttery, in fact. So I suppose it smells a little like buttered, or butter-rich, bread. Having baked many different types of bread, I know this. Maybe a touch of floral citrus in there, too. 3.9.

Flavor-wise, this makes the biggest (and most important) impression on me. A little zesty, hoppy citrus hits first, and is then eclipsed by the most delectable, rich bready finish, that has that "buttery" trait from before, along with a crispy-clean noble hoppiness. Truly satisfying. 4.65.

It gets big points for feel, too. Full-bodied with a lingering aftertaste, yet also crisp and light on the palate somehow. 4.7.

Well, it didn't really grab my attention until I took a sip, but isn't that the most important moment for a beer to shine? I would say so.
