Notes: King Street Brewing was founded in 2010 and has been bringing fine craft ales and lagers to the Alaska marketplace since August 2011. Six year round offerings (APA, Czech Pilsner, IPA, Blonde Ale, Irish Stout, and Bavarian Hefeweizen) are complimented with multiple seasonal offerings and barrel aged selections. Sample flights, pints and growlers, kegs, cans and bottles to go are available in their new modern tasting room (June 2018). No kitchen, but you’re welcome to order in or bring your own! Their beer can also be found in pubs, restaurants, and specialty liquor stores around Alaska.

this place is crazy, just huge and beautiful, three or four floors here all for beer drinking and maybe private events, its a killer space. a little outside patio out front and the bar inside, then a big central winding staircase that just keeps going up, views and tables at each level, windows to the production area, and finally an open air rooftop area where most people were hanging out when i was there, love the layout and the use of space, really rad, kind of minimalist feeling for how big it is, but cool. the beer list is big, about half and half between their every day stuff and the specialty releases, and i liked all i had here. the helles was snappy and clean, the coffee stout simple and fresh, and the hazy ipa well refined and juicy, nice job across the board. the service was fabulous even though he was busy, real generous too, and the vibe here overall is cool and mellow. none of the beer blew me away, but it was all very solid, and the space is such a great spot to hang that i was quite happy. they have really built something neat here, definitely recommend a visit when you are in anchorage!

I went to King Street a couple of days ago while visiting Anchorage and it was a neat little find. They had 6 flagship beers plus three seasonals, and their shtick is that they have special blends on the menu too. So, like, there's a "Dirty Blonde" that's half blonde and half stout; kind of a cool idea (it helps that the beer is good). The build-out is pretty minimalist, but I heard that they are moving soon, so that kind of makes sense. Service was good, as well; friendly and approachable. I definitely recommend visiting King Street while you're in town; I gather their new location is going to be just by Anchorage Brewing so that should be a great two-fer.

First stop after getting off the plane in Anchorage. They offered a 7 offering flight which included their main beers and a seasonal. Overall every beer was on point. Service was great and they have a popcorn machine in the small tasting room for palette cleansing. They are in a warehouse so still a small production with really good results.
