Beautiful color, perfect amount of carbonation and funk, and a body and flavor that is hard to put down once you start on it. One of my favorite bottles I've had from F&M.

Bottle from the brewery.

My love for Moeder Seizoen goes beyond homerism. From batch one, I always thought this was F&M's best beer, and that still holds true for me. And now that they're starting with variants...well, that just means it keeps getting better and better for this guy. This fruited version was truly exceptional. Nice ruby red color. Everything good and farmhouse-funky about the base beer is here, with a nice crisp berry addition, skin and flesh, tartness and juiciness, and not too overbearing. Dry and leafy. Almost like a young lambic. Crisp mouthfeel, very pleasant. Overall a real treat, and hopefully a glance of what the future holds for this ever-evolving beer.
