Poured from 375ml bottle into teku, a bright clean golden color with a slight peach hue. White bubbles dissipate quickly and there is no head whatsoever after a few seconds. No lacing, almost appears flat.
The aroma on the other hand, is so welcoming. The wine barrel and tart cherry come first but doesn't over power the farmhouse yeast character which plays it's part in the background. Hint of bread notes, some plum and white raisins.
Pallet is equally amazing. A light tartness on the front of the tongue. Acidic but not too much, The wine barrel notes round out the beer so well. Chardonnay notes are very present, almost like drinking the white wine itself a little bit. The oak is there as well to round out the beer. The mouthfeel is almost perfect, a nice light carbonation which seems just right for this style. No lingering acidic notes, it's crisp and refreshing. I wish I could have a case of this. Best beer I've had in a long time.

750 mL bottle poured into a snifter. Bottle #34 of 204.

Appearance - Gushed on opening. Poured with a decent white head. Cloudy orange.

Smell - Fruity and musty. Slight acidity to it. Wouldn't pick out cherry if I didn't know it was there. Sweet malt aroma.

Taste - A little more tartness here. Grainy malt is the first flavor, strangely. Definitely more cherry here. Musty wine flavor lingers. Sweet malt is too strong for my tastes.

Mouthfeel - Not quite crisp, but nicely tart. Medium carbonation.

Overall - Nice flavors but none of the flavors I want to come out more manage to overpower the malt.

Hazy peach-orange colored body, thin, quickly receding off-white head, a few traces of lacing. Nose is dry, with semi-tart cherries and a well developed bretty/woody profile that has a dense musty component. Flavors are well-hinted at by the nose, with delicate cherries, wood, earth, minerality, and zesty yeast notes. Medium to light bodied, incredibly dry and refreshing, clean, succinct finish. Impressive.
